Without doubt one of the most successful shuttle stallions ever to stand at stud in Australia,
More Than Ready (USA) passed another milestone on Saturday when Centre Pivot became his 150th stakes winner following a dominant victory in the Listed Bernborough Hcp (1615m) at Doomben.
The Segenhoe Stud gelding under Blake Shinn defeated Lordag by a length with Worthy Cause a length and a quarter back in third.
Centre Pivot advances his overall record to 9 wins, 4 seconds and 1 third from 19 starts for earnings of $503,570.
This son of More Than Ready (USA) will be among 18 horses Segenhoe sends across to former top jockey Peter Robl who has taken out a trainers license.
Centre Pivot will give Robl the chance of starting his new career on a high when he contests the Magic Millions Trophy (1800m) at the Gold Coast on January 9.
"If we get a dry track and some luck he will be in the finish," Robl said.
Bred by Gerry Harvey’s Baramul Stud, Centre Pivot was a $360,000 purchase by Segenhoe at the 2012 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling sale.
A half-sister to Group 3 placed mare Slow The Flow, Centre Pivot is from the Zabeel mare Waterwise, a half-sister to the stakes-placed Poetic Genius out of the Danehill mare Sprinkler, herself a sister to Golden Slipper winner Catbird and Group 2 winner Danbird.
Tammy The Torpedo raises the bar to make it 151
Less than 24 hours after siring his landmark 150th stakes winner, More Than Ready (USA) made it 151 when Tammy the Torpedo took out the Listed Tropical Park Oaks 1700m at Gulfstream Park Florida, after doing the job the hard way, planted wide and without cover throughout the trip.
MORE THAN READY

Amongst his 151 stakes winners there are 17 Group 1 winners, including the Gai Waterhouse trained Golden Slipper winner Sebring.
