Dynamic Sire, Magic Albert has broken through the 100 wins barrier this season after another 2 winners over the weekend.
Magic Albert has enjoyed plenty of success over the 2011/12 season and now has 100 winners from 219 runners, which puts his strike rate of 45.67% among the best sires in the country.
Magic Albert - A Dynamic Sire
Magic Albert’s progeny have been led this year by Albert the Fat who won the Gr1 Emirates Stakes during the Spring Carnival as well as being placed in both Gr2 and Gr3 company.
Magic Albert’s other stakes winners this season include dual stakes winner Straight Albert as well as Isopach, Ron’s Call and Tai Tai Tess with Roma Giaconda, Too Many Reds, Leviosa and Al’s Magic Miss all being stakes placed.
Magic Albert stands at Yarraman Park where he has been since retirement from racing in 2002 and has sired numerous winners and stakes performers in his time at Stud.
This is the second consecutive year that Magic Albert has sired over 100 winners in a season, the benefits of covering larger and better quality books of mares now becoming increasingly apparent.
This year we have managed to secure a colt by Magic Albert, who stands for $22,000 this spring, by Badinov’s Babe who has produced six fouls to race for five winners.
Our Magic Albert - Badinov's Babe Colt
Out of these five winners, he has produced a total of 3 stakes winners with big opinions thought of both our filly and Coolmore produced unraced half-brother, Spanish Matador.
Our filly has been produced on the ZEDITAVE - TWIG MOSS cross which is rated an A++ 2124% and has continued to get stakes winners including former 2yo stakes winner Penny Banger.
Stakes winner Penny Banger is bred on the same cross as our colt
Our colt is due to be trained by Sydney’s leading trainer, Chris Waller, who is also the trainer of Magic Albert’s Gr1 winner, Albert the Fat and has developed an affinity with Magic Albert’s progeny.
We are due to start syndicating this colt shortly however we will consider offers if somebody is looking to buy the horse outright.
