A big day on the Gold Coast for the Gerry Harvey owned Magic Millions Sales company as Vendors continued to out score Buyers, with the average rising again off Day 2 figures.
Day 3 saw the dominance of the Gai Waterhouse juggernaut defeat those who dared to enter such mortal combat. At the close of the day 3 trading, Waterhouse and her syndication offshoot have signed for 48 yearlings of the 455 to sell, which is 10.55% of the catalogue.
Add in the fact that Chris Waller was not taking this battle lying down and between him and his client, they secured 25 lots.
Therefore Australia's two training powerhouses have signed for 16.04% between them and in the process, were only attacking the top end of the market. This makes it very difficult for other main stream professional buyers to get set with their orders thus forcing the prices to stay high and the clearance rate remained outstanding.
This has resulted in the following data at the close of business on day 3:
Average : $139,455
Median : $120,099
Clearance : 88%
Sold : 455
Top Price : $1,000,000
However Dynamic Syndications yet again were able to add another high quality yearling to our stable of exquisite thoroughbreds when we purchased Lot 548 from Yarraman Park for just $70,000 + GST.
She is a lovely filly, by exciting 1st season sire HINCHINBROOK (by FASTNET ROCK ex SNIPPET'S LASS). The stallion is a 3/4 brother in blood to proven sire SNITZEL.
An excellent racehorse in his own right, HINCHINBROOK was trained by GERALD RYAN and won 2 races at 2 including the Gr3 AJC Skyline S., and the AJC Canonbury S., LR. He ran 2nd in the ATC All Aged S., Gr1, 3rd Sires Produce Gr1, MRC Oakleigh P., Gr1, MVRC William Reid S., Gr1, STC Pago Pago S., Gr2, 4th STC Golden Slipper Gr1.
Our Filly is from the mare MALTESE (by Tale Of The Cat). She won 3 races at 2 to 1100m, inc AJC Liverpool 2yo Hcp. She is a 1/2 sister to 2yo Stakes Winner JESTARELLA BOY - 3 wins, 1 at 2, 1000m, 1100m. Also a 1/2 to Stakes Placed 2yo JOLLY'S FOLLY and 2yo Stakes Placed LA BIRD.
Our Filly's 2nd Dam is MARWELL LADY - 2 wins at 2 at 1100m, 1200m inc VRC Gwynn Nursery S., LR.
This is an exceptionally well mated filly with an A+++ rating score and was also rated in the Best Of Sale category.
This BOBS and now Magic Millions eligible filly, will head into the stables of leading trainer Gerald Ryan at Rosehill, a noted trainer of precocious 2yo types.
This is a pedigree saturated in 2yo winners.
It was a simple choice for Team Dynamic to ask Gerald Ryan to train the filly since he was the trainer of the sire HINCHINBROOK
With this filly being such a cracking type and bred to run as a 2yo, she deserves to be with the best trainer for her to reach her full potential and Gerald will offer our clients, every opportunity to fulfil their filly's racing potential.
Day 4 will continue as a night session on Saturday evening after the big Magic Millions Race Day concludes. We are keen to add more to quality yearlings to our stables if the prices allow.
Currently our new stable purchases sit at 6 yearlings with a total spend of $470,000 and an average spend of $78,333.33. It's a wonderful balance of the best proven sires in Australia with
REDOUTE'S CHOICE, MORE THAN READY and TESTA ROSSA added to exciting 1st season, precocious speed sires
REWARD FOR EFFORT, STARSPANGLEDBANNER and HINCHINBROOK.
Lot 4 MORE THAN READY x QUICK BLUSH $125,000 + GST

This proves again that our hard work has paid off brilliantly and our clients will be the recipients of outstanding yearlings at excellent value for money pricing. Dynamic owners will not be paying over inflated prices which have resulted elsewhere a consequence of head to head battles of wills.
Stay tuned for the final Day 4 summary.
Can we add another yearling to the stable on the final night ? Will NO IFS OR BUTS be able to win race 1 on the programme ? Time will tell.
