Leading Trainer Peter Moody is confident his I Am Invincible two-year-old Roundabout can show the necessary improvement to win Saturday's Murray Cox Handicap over 1410 metres at Flemington to give his promising young sire another Metropolitan victory.
Roundabout is a striking grey colt by BOOM SIRE I Am Invincible and appears to have his hoof right on the till after three impressive placings in his first three starts.
Roundabout looked destined for Victory at Flemington on June 14 before being run down inside the final 100m by David Hayes impressive High Chaparral 2yo Vuelta.
"He will run on Saturday and I think he has shown really nice improvement since last start," Moody said.
“The colt worked over 1000 metres on Tuesday morning in company in a time of 1.09.82. The last 600 metres was run in 38.15 seconds.”
