As a sibling to 2 Group 1 winners, it’s not surprising
Arrowfield Stud decided to retain their filly by
Not A Single Doubt and she paid back their faith when she won on debut at Hawkesbury on Sunday.
Prepared by
Gerald Ryan, two year-old
Not a Single Doubt filly Shacked Up opened her career with a two and a quarter length win over 1000 metres as favourite.
She jumped well and quickly found the front, leading comfortably and then dashing clear under hands and heels riding to win as she pleased.
She is the last foal of Urge to Merge, who died in 2012, so Arrowfield see her as a very valuable broodmare prospect for the future and judging by Sunday’s effort, she could be a Black Type filly before her racing days are done.
Shacked Up became the
20th Australian two year-old winner this season for Not a Single Doubt.
Over the past 30 days,
Not A Single Doubt’s progeny have won
24 races.
