Dynamic is continuing on our sales path this year as the New Zealand Premier Yearling Sale got underway yesterday at the Karaka sales complex. Once again we saw strong figures across the board with the sale up 10% on last year’s results with the top lot, a FASTNET ROCK – CELEBRIA colt, going to our close friends at Coolmore Stud for NZ$1.975 million. Although the median was marginally down on the 2012 sale, all other numbers were incredibly strong with aggregate, average and clearance rate all rising by some margin as is indicated below.

As usual the sale has attracted interest from buyer in New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Malaysia and Macau but it was Australian buyers have been the biggest force on the salegrounds on Monday. They accounted for over $13 million worth of stock which is over half the first days aggregate.
The NZ based sales have once again attracted support from all around Australasia
Although Dynamic were not active over the first day of the sale, we had a number of our representatives looking at hundreds of horses in the lead up to the New Zealand based sales. Gary “Mudge” Mudgway who is regarded as one of the best judges in the business was among those busily looking for team Dynamic trying to find us another stakes winner. Mudge is coming fresh off another major race win on the weekend when Choice Bro won the $100,000 Karaka Mile. Mudge has been involved in every Dynamic purchase over the past few years with our 3 current syndications, the FASTNET ROCK – DYNAMIC LOVE filly, the ENCOSTA DE LAGO – PETTA GAYE colt and the NORTHERN METEOR – VILLA VALENCIA colt all going before the watchful eye of Gary and getting the tick of approval.
Providing much of the action at the top end of the Sale, Fastnet Rock currently heads the sires table with 10 lots sold for NZ$4,725,000 at an average of NZ$472,500 including the third top price of the day, a Fastnet Rock filly from Episode which bought NZ$700,000. Also in high demand on day one was Encosta de Lago, Zabeel, High Chaparral and O'Reilly.
Fastnet Rock has had an excellent start to the sale season averaging $342,000 at the Magic Millions sale in January and so far averaging NZ$472,500 at the Karaka Premier sale. Here at Dynamic Syndications, we couldn’t believe our luck when we managed to secure an exceptionally bred Fastnet Rock – Dynamic Love filly at the Magic Millions sales for just $150,000. She is a cracking type and will be trained by Sydney’s leading trainer Chris Waller who has already built up an unassailable lead in the Sydney Metropolitan training ranks.
Our Fastnet Rock - Dynamic Love filly after being sold at the Magic Millions sale
This Fastnet Rock filly joins our two Ready to Run colts and becomes our first horse up for Syndication in 2013. There has already been plenty of interest to come through for this superb individual and with a winning pedigree, a world class trainer and outstanding value for money, you will have to hurry to secure your share. Fastnet Rock is currently engaged in a ding-dong battle with Commands at the top of the leading sire table. Last year by the end of the season he finished a clear first in the sire rankings and he looks set to be right there again come the end of this season.
