This weekend he made it stakes winner #41 when the talented filly, CASQUETS scored a tenacious win in the LR Talindert Stakes for 2yos at Flemington.
Casquets as a yearling
In just her second start, Casquets surged into contention over the final furlong and to win the 1100 metre dash by a long head. After finishing 3rd on debut, the 2yo filly has come on leaps and bounds since her run at Mooney Valley on February 1st and is now among Fastnet Rock’s impressive list of stakes winners.
Ridden perfectly by Steven Baster, connections are still deciding whether or not to back up this impressively filly in the Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes on Saturday.
Casquets takes her record to 1 win & 1 placing from 2 starts for $76,500 earnings. She is the 41st stakes-winner for champion sire Fastnet Rock, who has seven yearlings to be offered at the upcoming 2013 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.
Fastnet Rock is having another wonderful year on track with Casquets being his 12th individual stakes winner from 13 stakes wins. He has had a total of 87 winners on track for 120 race wins with a total of $5,977,561 in prizemoney putting him in second position overall less than $30,000 behind current leader and fellow Dynamic sire, Commands.
