"Breednet" published an interesting article this week highlighting the success (or otherwise) as a comparative measure for breeders and buyers toward the top end of the Stallion market. The article said:
"With three new stakes-winners in the past week,
Arrowfield Stud's legendary sire Redoute's Choice is hot form, which made us think it was worth a look at overall stakes statistics for the most expensive sires in Australia this spring.
REDOUTE'S CHOICE - King of the Sires
Turning 22 this year, Redoute's Choice will stand at a fee of $137,500 and his overall stakes results would back up his standing as one of the all-time greats in Australian breeding.

The above results need to be taken in context with a horse like Pierro at the very start of his stud career and horses like I Am Invincible and Written Tycoon both starting their stud careers at a comparatively low fee.
Fastnet Rock, Exceed and Excel and More Than Ready have been highly successful in both hemispheres, while Redoute's Choice shuttled for just two seasons to France and has left several stakes-winners."

It was no coincidence that Dynamic Syndications purchased yearlings in 2018 by the following sires on this list. The targeted stallions we purchase were:
Redoute's Choice x Pretty Pins ~
A colt by Redoute's Choice - Leading Sire by SW's to Runners / 2nd by Total Stakes Winners
More Than Ready x Elan Grenadine ~
A colt by More Than Ready - Leading Sire by Stakes Winners
Exceed And Excel x Se Sauver ~
A colt by Exceed And Excel - Third Leading Sire by Stakes Winners
Pierro x Confer ~
A colt by Pierro - The "New Boy" amongst the elite
We also attempted to buy yearlings by Snitzel and Fastnet Rock however the commercial realities of those sires are that their Average and Median prices for acceptably bred and conformed candidates were far too expensive for the syndication market to absorb.
Of the other sires on the list, we considered that progeny by sires such as Written Tycoon, Sebring, I Am Invincible and Not A Single Doubt, did not represent value for money, based upon their actual success rates, when compared to their inflated yearling Averages and Medians.
Commercial business realities and logical investment strategies must never be substituted for pipe dreams or masked by marketing hype.
To be successful in the thoroughbred industry requires an intimate knowledge of facts, figures and current statistical data, supporting logical processes and excellent horse husbandry identification techniques in identifying and selecting horses that are well conformed, athletic and bred on a statistically proven successful mating cross.
Employing these pillars as the foundations of all bloodstock selection ensures a maximised opportunity of racetrack success, compared to those whom don't employ any such strategy.
