The first Northern Hemisphere bred progeny by champion Australian sire
Redoute's Choice are current two year-olds and there are none better bred than Goldikova's half-sister
Gold Luck, who made a winning debut at Maisons-Laffitte in France overnight.
GOLDIKOVA
A half-sister to a legend, Gold Luck runs for the same connections being trained by Freddy Head for owner/breeders the Wertheimer brothers.
She scored a head win in the mile maiden with two and a half lengths back to the third horse.
"I'm very happy with her," Freddy Head told Racing Post. "She wasn't fully tuned-up today and I think she can make plenty of progress from this.
"Next year will be for her and we'll leave her through the winter now in the hope she turns into a good filly. She handled herself very well and it looked a nice race. The runner-up pushed her hard at the end and overall they looked a nice bunch.
"She's going well and has done everything we've asked of her so far. She's won her maiden and we will go gently with a view to next year."
Gold Luck is a sibling to five Group winners headed by 2010 Horse of the Year Goldikova, a winner of 17 races, 14 of them Group 1 including a memorable trio of Breeders Cup Mile victories.
She is the 13th winner for exceptional producer Born Gold.
