The tremendous trio Dynamic Syndications / Brad Widdup / Christian Reith kept their juggernaut rolling with yet another victory, fresh off Friday night’s win with
Miami Dade, t
his time we were at Newcastle on Sunday, as promising middle-distance gelding RESORT made it two wins in a row when taking out Race 6 on the programme the IGA Liquar Class 2 Hcp over 1850m.
Sent out a $1.80 favourite RESORT saluted the judge in front of a large group of happy owners.
RESORT is a 4yo Gelding by Domesday x Nusa Dua took his career record to:
16 starts: 3 Wins, 1 Second, 3 Thirds and $60,895.
Purchased for $22,000 at the Inglis Tried Horse Sale in August 2017, RESORT has had 4 career runs for Team Dynamic for: 2 wins, 1 Third, 1 Fourth and earned $29,960 to date for his happy owners.
Resort was coming into this event 4th up and at a distance that suited him better at 1850m on his way up to races at 2000m.
At his first start, he resumed with a good foundation run when a close third over 1400m at Bathurst before an eye-catching fourth over 1400m at Kembla Grange.
Then we took him to Orange in a Class 1 – Maiden Plate at 1600m where he was way to good posting a 5.5 length win.
Its still a big class rise to go from a country win to claim a Class 2 at Provincial grade but RESORT handled the rise in class with ease.
Jumping away well the intent was to roll forward and hold the lead but two runners in the event had other ideas.
The pace was a cracker up front with the outsider dashing clear by 4 lengths with the second favourite Oakfield Monarch sitting second and Christian Reith biding his time back in third, 3 lengths off the second placed runner and 7 lengths off the leader.
At the 500m the runner-up Oakfield Monarch started to give chase to the leader and Christian countered that move, tagging up with Resort.
As they swung for home, Oakfield Monarch with 55.5kgs had claimed the lead and RESORT with 57.0kgs was 3 lengths off that leader giving chase.
At the 100m mark Resort had claimed the leader and was moving away under hands and heels to go on a record a 0.53 length win with another 2.5 lengths back to The Outcast carrying 54.0kgs in third spot.
The horse won as we had anticipated.
The judgement of the pace in the race by Christian was excellent and in winning aboard RESORT it recorded Christian’s 50th Race Win for the season.
Christian Reith aboard Miami Dade
The horse was the pick of the yard the way he was turned out by Brad Widdup and his team and the horse raced accordingly.
This was Dynamic Syndications 522nd Overall Race Win and our 35th Race Win in this 2017-18 Racing Season.
Importantly it was our 15th Race Win from 59 Runners with trainer BRAD WIDDUP – that’s an amazing 25.4% Winners:Runners
