The wraps have been huge and now there is proof in the pudding !!
Team Members of
Dynamic Syndications know just how much we are devoted to
REWARD FOR EFFORT.
They also know that we have purchased several yearlings closely related to him in the past and they also know his
3/4 sister OVERREACH won the
GOLDEN SLIPPER.
Importantly they know we purchased two yearlings by him earlier this year.
BUT …. DID YOU KNOW ?
At the
INGLIS Breeze-Up Sessions for their upcoming
Ready To Race Sale to be held on 7 October,
121 horses dashed up the straight and were clocked over the final 200m.
The average time was recorded at
11.48 seconds.
Only 12 (10%) of the 121 x 2yo’s broke through the magical
11.00 seconds benchmark.
Whilst just
6 x 2yo’s (5%) went
10.80 seconds or under.
Incredibly
REWARD FOR EFFORT produced 2 of these runners to qualify in the
TOP 6 (Top 5%) !
1 x REWARD FOR EFFORT x MAID IN SECRET ran 10.68 seconds (4th fastest)
1 x REWARD FOR EFFORT x BELSOUER ran 10.80 seconds (6th fastest)
We are thrilled to see the
REWARD FOR EFFORT progeny are straight onto the track and proving to the world that they can run !
We did inspect both these colts as yearlings and chose not to buy either of them.
Colt ex MAID IN SECRET went through the Inglis Classic Sale. He rated well, with genetic rating score at
A+ 508% but conformationally, he had several defects which prohibited us from purchasing him for our clients.
Colt ex BELSOUER went through the Magic Millions
Session 6 for $26,000. He was a strong colt with a genetic rating score of
A 187% but he was heavy set and we considered him to be un-athletic and a bit too small.
FURTHERMORE…..
We are
THRILLED to see a 2yo colt named
Drill Master and a 2yo Filly named
Results, holding nominations for the
Listed $120,000 Maribyrnong Trial Stakes at Flemington on Saturday over 1000m. This is an incredibly exciting feat for a young stallion at stud and highlights the high regard that trainers hold his progeny in.
Whilst across the border in Adelaide,
Reward For Effort has a further two youngsters nominated for the 2yo Plate over 1000m with
Bonuses and
Silent Sniper looking to kick off their careers in Saturday Metropolitan Grade.
To have
4 juveniles nominated across two different states on the first day of official 2yo racing is a huge achievement for a First Season Stallion and these nominations rightly justify the big wraps that have been placed on the
Reward For Effort progeny thus far.
We remain convinced we have brought the
top two REWARD FOR EFFORT progeny available.
Our filly ex
WALKLIKEANEGYPTIAN (by Encosta De Lago) with
PETER MOODY is SOLD OUT. Her genetic rating was
A++ 4.953%.
Her racing name is
Ay Oh Whey Oh.
Our colt ex FAIRY RAINBEAM (by Encosta De Lago) with MICK PRICE is now 60% SOLD.
His genetic rating was
A++ 4.953% but importantly, he also received a
BEST OF SALE Rating Score of 1.0 placing him in the
Top 100 yearlings in the 926 lots yearling catalogue at the
Magic Million Sale.
Our colt has broken-in really well and has been in pre-training and shown terrific ability.
Genetically, the
BEST CROSS for REWARD FOR EFFORT appears likely to be
ENCOSTA DE LAGO. That is no coincidence that we brought two yearlings - both from
ENCOSTA DE LAGO mares.
Three Stakes Winners so far by
Exceed And Excel are from ENCOSTA DE LAGO broodmares:
MOHAVE:
MRC Blue Diamond Preview LR 1000m at 2.
REBAL CALL:
WATC Perth S. LR 1100m at 2.
INSTINCTION:
VRC Springtime S. LR 1400m at 3,
MRC Zeditave S. LR 1200m at 3,
Weekend Hussler S. LR 1400m at 4.
REWARD FOR EFFORT went up as
second favourite for this season’s
First Season Sire’s Premiership at $4.00 behind the $3.00 favourite Star Witness. That may be a very attractive price on what times two average types
Reward For Effort yearlings have breezed up in.
Incredibly, our
Colt ex FAIRY RAINBEAM is our cheapest colt in 2014 and now the sire has been identified as producing 2yo precocious early running sprinters, our colt at
$4,475 a share is great value and we all now know the stallion produces runners.
Throw in the rich
VOBIS scheme he is eligible for in Victoria and the fact we are targeting the Magic Millions in January with him, he is an outstanding colt for 2yo racing enthusiasts.
I strongly recommend our Colt by
REWARD FOR EFFORT ex FAIRY RAINBEAM to all our owners.
He’s a ripper - and we are with a Great Trainer in MICK PRICE.
