SEBRING adds yet another Stakes Winner to his ever growing tally

Dashing grey SEBRING gelding COOLRING scored the biggest win of his career when leading throughout to win the Listed Prime Ministers Cup at the Gold Coast on Saturday landing a betting plunge.

He was on a seven day back up after finishing unplaced at Hawkesbury last week, but turned that form around to win the 1400 metre feature by three quarters of a length.

The decision to back up Coolring at the Gold Coast after finishing sixth at Hawkesbury was a masterstroke.

"This horse hasn't had a saddle on his back in the past seven days and he freshened up really well for this race," a stable representative said.

"Since Coolring's been here he's really thrived and the way the horse is racing he could even keep going for a few more races while he's in this sort of form."

Coolring has the overall record now seven wins and nine placings from 27 starts with prizemoney nearing $460,000.

Passed in at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, Coolring was retained to race and is the second foal of former brilliant sprinter Coolroom Candidate, who won nine races with prizemoney topping $447,000 with highlight wins in the Group 2 AJC Sapphire Stakes and Group 3 STC Research Stakes.

Coolring is the 21st stakes-winner for Sebring, who stands this spring at an increased service fee of $77,000.

It was so close to being a stakes double on the day when OINK was a head 2nd in the Ken Russell Memorial Gr3.

At Flemington, Stupido was also very impressive winning the Open Sprint 1000m.

Whilst at Rosehill the very impressive Sir Bacchus kept his outstanding winning form going when scoring a superb last to first victory and he certainly looks capable of earning black type.
