It has been a busy couple of days at Dynamic Syndications with another 3yo set to hit the track for his first attempt at a racing career on Saturday.
Specific Choice will line up in a 3yo colts and geldings maiden over 1200m at Kembla Grange as he gets his shot at the racing game.
Specific Choice as a yearling
Specific Choice trialled once in January this year, finishing 3rd before heading back to the paddock. This time in he has had two lead up trials to get him ready for racing.
In both trials he did all that was asked of him and is learning more about what he is meant to do every time he is saddled up.
At Kembla he is being ridden by Chris O’Brien and we hope to see him run a nice race on debut as he gradually steps up in distance with race experience.
Naturally we expect him to get better with race experience and most importantly, once the trips get out to 1600m and beyond.
Specific Choice is a stunning Lonhro colt out of the Redoute’s Choice mare, Lady of Choice and ticked all the boxes when he was purchased at the Inglis Easter Yearling sales in 2011.
He is impeccably bred on the Lonhro – Danehill cross which has produced stakes winners including Benfica, Obsequious, Pinwheel, Deer Valley among many more.
This first race start is all part of the learning experience that Specific Choice is currently undertaking.
The inform Chris Waller trains our colt and believes that with time, he can develop into a racehorse who is profitable for his owners.
Lonhro has been on fire to start the 2012/13 racing season already siring 32 winners for 36 wins including 3 stakes races to clearly lead almost all premiership categories.
We want to acknowledge the owners of the colt and assure them that the journey is just beginning.
We wish them the best of luck on track tomorrow at Kembla and are hopeful of much race success in the future.
Good luck to
