I was delighted to visit Greg Willis’ Chatswood Stud yesterday to check in on my old mate
REWARD FOR EFFORT. He was simply looking terrific in himself and the news is all positive. After he covered 173 mares in 2012, making him one of the most popular stallions with Australian breeders, he is set for an even bigger 2013.
This season
REWARD FOR EFFORT looks set to cover a book of more then 180 mares, which will make him leading Australian third season sire by numbers.

When looking at the yearlings and foals that he is producing there is no surprise that the stallion is proving to be so popular with breeders.

YEARLING COLT BY REWARD FOR EFFORT
Reward for Effort is wonderfully bred himself by Exceed and Excel and out of Rory’s Jester dual stakes winning mare Miss Prospect.
He was a sensational horse on the racetrack winning four races from 10 starts (all at Black Type level) before being retired to stud. Included in these stakes victories were the LR Blue Diamond Preview as a 2yo, the LR Sir John Monash Stakes as a 3yo, the Gr3 Concorde Stakes as a 4yo and a most impressive win in the Gr1 Blue Diamond during his 2yo career.
Reward for Effort currently stands at Chatswood Stud for a fee of $11,000. For more information on Reward for Effort, please contact Chatswood Stud or simply send an email to info@chatswoodstud.com.au
