Dynamic Syndications 3yo gelding
UNADULTERATED (More Than Ready x Elle Duccio by Danehill) recorded a soft win coming from last to first in a Benchmark 55 at Taree on Tuesday afternoon when winning Race 6 on the programme, the Hygain Tracktorque Handicap over 1600m, scoring by 1.5 lengths x 2.3 lengths on a Slow Track and carrying 57.5kgs.
Trained by the NSW Provincial Trainer of the Year for the past two seasons –
DARREN SMITH at Newcastle, this win recorded Dynamic Syndications
35th Win for this current racing season, our
379th race win under the Dynamic Syndications banner and MOST IMPORTANTLY – this win was the
93rd race win, gun trainer
DARREN SMITH has produced for
DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS in seven years.
UNADULTERATED took his racing career to
5 starts: 2 wins, 2 thirds and looks to have a bright future ahead of him.
At the 1000m - well back in last position
At the 800m - No change to the order
At the 600m - starting to move up
At the 400m - turned for home
At the 200m - still more than 4 lengths off the leader
At the 75m well in charge
Eased down
Comfortable Win
A horse with absolutely no early gatespeed,
UNADULTERATED self imposes his own racing style upon his riders. He simply likes to dawdle away from the barriers and hack around at the tail of the field before unleashing a powerful finish. Unfortunately this style of racing does require a bit of luck, as he has twice found heavy traffic in races that cost him victory. On both those occasions he finished third.
With average luck on those days there is little doubt he would have won those races as well, such is the brilliance of his finishes.
In this event, the same applied where within 50m of the start,
UNADULTERATED was a clear last some 10 lengths off the leaders by the time the field had travelled 150m. However there was no concern from rider or owners as from the 700m, top jockey
ROBERT THOMPSON allowed the horse to gradually move up so by the time they turned for home,
UNADULTERATED was 6 lengths off the leaders.
At the 400m Robert peeled
UNADULTERATED out from behind runners and such was his turn of foot, at the 200m mark,
UNADULTERATED had jogged up to the leaders and worked away. At the 70m
ROBERT THOMPSON took hold again and the horse cantered to the line in an effort that wasn’t much more than a working track gallop. So hollow was the win that
UNADULTERATED was not tapped with the whip to keep his mind on the job at any stage in the straight.
Importantly however despite the ease, they gave our owners an $8,200 first prize cheque and a $5,000 BOBS Bonus as well. Not to mention the generosity of the bookies who had him at $3.00 in the early market before seeing him firm to start at $2.60 favourite.
At this stage of his career and only being a 3yo who looks destined to get out to at least 2000m, we are just taking him through his grades and adding BOBS Bonuses to the kitty before he turns a 4yo.
Robert Thompson reported the win as “soft” and advised the horse will continue to be very competitive in the local area and knock up winning before needing to head towards harder assignments. He felt the 3yo still had a bit to learn as he wanted to stargaze in the straight.
Congrats to a terrific team of
Dynamic Syndications Owners that race this horse with us and a special thanks to our Trainer
DARREN SMITH and ROBERT THOMPSON for bringing up his
3,996th win aboard our horse:
