Retail fast food giant
HUNGRY JACKS were Corporate Sponsors of the Australian Turf Club's race 7 at Rosehill on Saturday 19 July and it was the
Omen Bet of the Day that
Team Dynamic won the race with our outstanding 3yo filly -
MADE TO ORDER.
MADE TO ORDER sizzles to record a "WHOPPER" of a Win at Rosehill
Australia wide, the restaurant chain has
346 stores but
HUNGRY JACKS NSW Corporate Head Office is located on James Ruse Drive, just up the road from their neighbours - the ATC's Rosehill racetrack.
A big contingent of
HUNGRY JACKS Executive Management Team, led by
Aaron McKie were on hand to celebrate their company's involvement in the sponsorship and as the Dynamic Team learned after our win with
MADE TO ORDER, the
HUNGRY JACKS trading philosophy is -
MTO - MADE TO ORDER !
The HUNGRY JACKS Executive Management Team enjoying their day at Rosehill
Aaron McKie was quick to point out in the presentation that all his team thought it an Omen and despite not being regular race goers, they all backed our filly at the luxury odds of $11.
DYNAMIC 3yo filly
MADE TO ORDER (
by Commands x Making Fey by Zabeel) was resuming from a spell over 1350m in the Fillies & Mares Benchmark 85 Handicap.
MADE TO ORDER with SERG LINSYY riding her out to score in the shadows of the post
What was surprising was they ran a sizzling
1:20.30 smashing the Race Record set by
BERRIMILLA back on
20/7/13 at 1:22.76 – that’s a staggering
2.46 seconds (approximately
17 lengths).
MADE TO ORDER in the WINNER'S CIRCLE
The win by our
Chris Waller trained filly
MADE TO ORDER was not a total surprise to her trainer or large team of
Dynamic owners. Whilst not expected, the belief is our filly is well above average and we expected her to race well based upon her trackwork leading into the event.
A big congratulations go to our Dynamic Team of Owners that race MADE TO ORDER:

MADE TO ORDER Connections & Sponsors in the Winner's Room at Rosehill
We are convinced she is a black-type level racing prospect and as the 1/2 sister to the
Gr1 winner Apercu, she has a spectacular pedigree to match her strong and athletic build. However all connections agree, she is a 2000m type and the further she runs, the better she will be.
Purchased at the
Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for $110,000 from Yarraman Park Stud as agent for breeder Tim Hughes, the filly was facing the judge for just her 8th occasion.
MADE TO ORDER already had recorded a resume of 7 sts: 2 wins, 2 seconds and $95,150. She had won at 1350m at Warwick Farm and 1800m at Randwick.
Now it reads
8 sts: 3 wins, 2 seconds and $163,900.
This time in, off two very soft trials, instead of a third hard hit out barrier trial, we felt we would start her in a race instead of another trial, as part of her foundation. What a decision that turned out to be ! They certainly don't pay $68,750 to win barrier trials.
Originally nominated for a Class 2 at Kembla on Saturday, as well as the 3yo 1200m Bm75 event and the 1350m F&M Bm 85 event at Rosehill, Trainer
Chris Waller rang
Dynamic boss Dean Watt early in the week to discuss the various race options. Having concluded that the 1350m at Rosehill against the older mares was the right race based upon weights and distance, discussion then concentrated on the possibility of taking advantage of a 3.0kg claim instead of using a senior jockey.
Apprentice SERG LINSYY
Chris was eager to use apprentice
Serg Linsyy as he explained he’s had a lot of luck with
Serg and thought that, since our allotted handicap weight as a 3yo filly taking on the older mares would be just 53.0kgs, if we could then deduct an extra 3.0kgs to be carrying just 50.0kgs, we could be competitive.
Together we concluded it was the right way to go. Then as luck would have it, a rare good barrier draw saw
MADE TO ORDER allotted barrier 2.
Having drawn a decent gate, we anticipated in our speed maps that on settling, we could be tucked up 2-3 pairs back on the fence, with cover and with just average racing luck, since she would only have 50.0kgs on her back after the claim for apprentice
Serg Linsyy, she would be running home very strongly.
If she was close enough - she was certainly good enough.
The biggest hurdle we saw was not our opposition. Rather it was to curb the enthusiasm of our apprentice rider, keeping
Serg focused about taking a sit, rather than allowing his adrenalin to pump and wanting to rush forward too early.
A Happy SERG LINSYY returns MADE TO ORDER to Scale
History now shows that
Serg is not only the apprentice with the
Best Smile in Racing - but
Serg also has
ice in his veins.
Chris Waller kept
Serg focused in the pre-race tactics chat and
Serg understood the importance of following our wishes to exploit these tactics.
Serg being interviewed after weighing in
The ride is best described as an 11 out of 10 effort - it was perfection.
Fiona Watt - Dynamic Syndications with Serg Linsyy
Serg Linsyy aka "The Meerkat" rode magnificently and the quality of this effort contributed significantly to the result.
Serg with the Winning Connections
However special acknowledgement must also be given to the sacrifice
Serg made to make the weight of 50.0kgs.
Serg is listed as the lightest he can get down to is
50.5kgs. However on the Wednesday prior, he was made aware of the importance of taking advantage of the full
3.0kg claim, so he worked very hard to lose the extra
0.5kg and take the full
3.0kgs claim.
Serg's effort (as the closeness of the win reveals) to lose this extra
0.5kg certainly contributed to the result.
From start to finish, the race panned out as we anticipated it would on paper.
MADE TO ORDER drove forward from barrier 2 for the first 150m before easing back to take the sit behind My Sabeel (James McDonald 54.0kgs) while Sunday Too Far (Winona Constin 51.0kgs) crossed over from barrier 3 to take the lead. That saw us lob onto the fence three pairs back.
Serg had cover, he was close enough to the speed to strike and saving petrol. As the field commenced the sweep into the home straight, My Sabeel peeled off the heels of Sunday Too Far, whilst
Serg steered
MADE TO ORDER out 3 deep into that running line.
As they balanced
MADE TO ORDER began to wheel in her older opposition. With 250m to run, the 6yo mare My Sabeel had gone to the lead whilst the 4yo mare Sunday Too Far would not give up without a fight.
At the 200m, My Sabeel carrying the limit of just 54.0kgs with Sydney's leading jockey James McDonald in the saddle, was driving to the finish line and had gone to the lead by well over a length whilst
MADE TO ORDER had moved up into second position.
With 150m left to run, the race had panned out as we had anticipated and we became extremely confident we would win from here.
MADE TO ORDER was now starting to extend strongly whilst our pre-race speed maps and analysis work revealed to us the expected leader wouldn't have the required stamina to be strong to the line. James Mc Donald is top class but he’s not a miracle worker. Our owners were shouting and cheering, urging their filly to win.
As it turned out - we were proved right ! Our filly flew, as anticipated the leader hit a wall.
We swamped it late to record a
WHOPPER of a win -
Smashing the Race Record in the process !
The previous
Race Record had been set by another
Chris Waller trained galloper
BERRIMILLA on 20/7/13 at 1:22.76.
MADE TO ORDER stopped the clock at
1:20.30 taking a massive
2.46 seconds off that record ! That's equivalent to approximately
17 lengths !
FIONA WATT - Dynamic Syndications gives MADE TO ORDER a well deserved pat after a terrific win
This win by
MADE TO ORDER was
Dynamic Syndications 41st win for the
2013/14 Racing Season. It was also our
15th Metropolitan Win of this racing year, our
9th Saturday Win in the Metropolitan area for this season and our
385th Win since our first runner was a winner in 2005.
It was also an important win for
Chris Waller. It was the
7th Sydney Winner Chris Waller has trained for Team Dynamic this Racing Season.
It was also the
156.5 race win for the stable this season. For the second season in succession, that broke the previously insurmountable record of
156 Sydney Wins in a racing year that had been previously achieved by only
3 trainers in history - Tommy Smith, Gai Waterhouse and John Hawkes.
Last season
Chris Waller broke that 156 win record and on Saturday,
Made To Order broke that mark for Chris again this season.
A special acknowledgement “Thank You” goes to top bloke
Mark Bradley of Bradley Photographers who takes these outstanding photographs at each meeting and unselfishly, he shares them with us here at
Team Dynamic allowing us to bring our stories to life for our reader’s enjoyment.
