The Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sales graduate Fastnet Rock hit the heights on the sires list by aggregate with 39 of his progeny changing hands for $24,240,000 at an average of $592,821 and median of $400,000.
Having seen Lot 82 being Kia-Ora Stud’s Dream Play colt make seven figures at $1,500,000 on Day 1, Fastnet Rock had another three lots make seven figures on Day 2 (Wednesday); the Cressfield Stud’s Lot 295 $4 million River Dove colt, Kia-Ora Stud’s filly from Mani Bhavan Lot 194 which sold for $1,550,000 and Cressfield’s filly from Park Esteem Lot 249 which sold for $1,000,000.
Easter Sale Average $291,187 (up 36%)
Easter Sale Median Price $200,000 (up 18%)
Dynamic Syndications purchased our Fastnet Rock early in the year at the Magic Millions having anticipated that the yearling market would heat up and international buyers would be spending big at Easter. We thought they would be too dear to purchase by Easter and that’s exactly what played out as the stallion’s progeny are considered the elite horses to buy.
Therefore our astute buying in January became our clients advantage as we proceed with the sale of our Fastnet Rock filly from Dynamic Love.
There is little doubt that our filly looked great value at the time but certainly looks even greater value now. There is no doubt that had she been in at Easter instead of January, she would have sold for at least double if not more based upon a $591,821 average and $400,000 median.
We have sold 60% so if you want to live the dream and race a high quality Fastnet Rock filly then the best way to achieve your dream is to join us racing our filly.
