Champion Coolmore Shuttler CHOISIR had an outstanding weekend on the track siring the winners of two city races and a feature country race. CHOISIR has been an ultra-consistent sire and is closing in on his 50th career stakes winner. The results that we saw over the weekend suggest that this may be only a few weeks away.
Choisir has sired 47 stakes winners and is closing in on the half century
CHOISIR’s good weekend started when EMBARK beat home his rivals comfortably at Mooney Valley on Friday night. The 4yo mare was first up after running at stakes level throughout her previous preparation so always looked well placed in the BM89 event. If EMBARK were to hold her form, it would not take much for this CHOISIR mare to find herself being very competitive at stakes level over the Autumn carnival.
One of the most impressive performances over the weekend came on Saturday when improving 2yo CHOISIR colt GOOD JOB BRO broke through for his maiden win in resounding fashion. Competing against a quality field of 2yos at Warwick Farm, GOOD JOB BRO who had drawn the outside in a field of 11, worked forward for HUGH BOWMAN and strode away down the running to win the 1200 metre contest by nearly three lengths. Following the impressive victory, there was suggestion that GOOD JOB BRO would look toward the world’s richest 2yo race, the Golden Slipper. He is another son or daughter or CHOISIR that looks bound for stakes success over the coming months.
Good Job Bro was another impressive winner for Choisir this weekend
Choisir also took out the feature meeting at Bathurst over the weekend when 7yo gelding JIMMY FORTUNES saluted in the Bathurst Cup. These three results show the versatility of CHOISIR as a sire having two winners over 1200m and another at 2000m. Looking closely at each horse, he sired a 2yo, a 4yo and a 7yo winner showing that his progeny can perform early in their career as well as training on to win races in the latter stages as well.
Of all three wins, the most memorable was probably that of GOOD JOB BRO. Saturday’s win adds to the already impressive resume of CHOISIR who has been a prolific sire of 2yo winners. Dynamic are currently syndicating a sensation CHOSIR filly to be trained by champion trainer Chris Waller and be aimed at the big 2yo races next season. Dynamic Own CHOISIR - CARLTON SHOW filly
Purchased at the Inglis Classic Sale for just $62,000, our filly was widely regarded as one of the best lots at the sale. The advantage of being purchased at the Inglis Classic sale means races like the $250,000 Inglis Nursery are already firmly in her sights. She is currently taking the first steps in becoming a champion racehorse as she is being educated and broken in with our expert team at Bimbadeen Park.
She is a lovely strong and athletic type that looks as if she will be a perfect type to handle 2yo racing. As stated earlier, CHOISIR versatility could see our filly winning races for her clients as both a 2yo like GOOD JOB BRO and then as a 7yo like JIMMY FORTUNES. Her excellent conformation put her in good stead to have a long and prosperous racing career. CHRIS WALLER who trained his 100th Sydney winner of the season over the weekend is excited to get her into the stable and looking forward to aiming her at some of the big 2yo races.
