Zabeel has added another notch to the belt to become the leading broodmare sire in both Australia and New Zealand for the first time in 2011/12.
Zabeel will begin his 22nd season at stud this year and still often sits at the top of the pecking order as a Sire indicated by his recent success as the leading broodmare sire.
Zabeel has claimed his first Broodmare sires title
Previously to this season, Zabeel has twice been Australia's leading sire and has won four New Zealand premierships in his time post-racing.
His daughters produced three Group One winners this season in Australia headed by the undefeated Atlantic Jewel who was joined by Schweppes Oaks winner Invest and Caulfield Cup victor Southern Speed.
In New Zealand, Silent Achiever comfortably won the NZ Derby and Planet Rock was victorious in the 1000 Guineas.
Among his other successes this year, Zabeel was named winner of the Dewar Stallion Trophy for an amazing 15th time.
This award recognises the New Zealand stallion whose progeny have won the most prizemoney in Australasia for the season.
Zabeelionaire's win in the South Australian Derby in May provided Zabeel with his 42nd individual Group One winner.
This victory has left Zabeel (the son of Sir Tristram) only three Gr1 Winners shy of his own sire's Gr1 record of 45 individual winners.
Zabeel has been an unbelievable sire of top horses including a first season crop which boasted champion Octagonal with another Australian Horse of the Year, Might And Power coming the following year.
Zabeel has also been a successful sire for Dynamic Syndications boss Dean Watt producing his syndicated Cox Plate winner, Savabeel.

Savabeel amassed almost $2.8m worth of prizemoney on the racetrack and is now an extremely successful sire in his own right producing Gr1 winner Brambles, Scarlett Lady and Sangster.
Zabeel, who turned 26 years old on August the 1st will serve a restricted book of mares at $NZ100,000 plus GST in the 2012 spring.
