Dynamic Syndications purchase, Dances on Stars has again been stakes placed, this time in the Group 2 Bollinger Champagne Classic at Doomben on Saturday.
The Snitzel ex Starnet Colt was gallant in defeat finishing 3rd after taking up the running and leading only to be swapped in the last 50 metres despite a bold front running ride by Glyn Schofield.
Dances on Stars again performs at Stakes level
Dances on Stars was official only beaten ¾ length by impressive 2yo, Sizzling who last start had beaten him by a little over 4 ½ lengths in the Ken Russel Memorial Handicap on the Gold Coast.
This is a wonderful training performance by Dynamic trainer Gerald Ryan, who obviously gave the horse ever opportunity to turn around the sizable margin last start to almost snatch victory at Doomben.
To peg back over 3 ½ lengths in a 14 day period is an unbelievable effort and a credit to Gerald.
A performance like this shows just how well he is training at the moment and another stakes victory is only just around the corner.
Dance on Stars was purchased by Adam Watt on behalf of Dynamic in New Zealand for $95,000 and then privately sold to Brian Mullins and Donna Keegan who have become close freinds with the Dynamic Team.
It was arranged that they would race in Brian and Donna’s own colours rather than the familiar white with red dynamic syndications logo that is seen on most of our other horses.
Dances on Stars at time of purchase in NZ
This weekend’s impressive performance now takes Dances on Stars record to 5 starts for a win, two 2nds, a 3rd and a 4th placed finish with more success a formality.
With the Brisbane winter carnival starting to get into full swing, it is only a matter of time before we see this striking colt back in the winner’s circle.
