Another year is drawing to a close and the team at Dynamic Syndications: Dean, Fiona, Adam, Peter & Rachel would like to wish all our clients (current, past and future) and our supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Prosperous New Year.
At this special time, we want to thank our loyal clients and friends for all their support and kind wishes and encouragement throughout a hectic 2011. It makes our workloads more rewarding and pleasurable and for that, we thank you.
We also take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank all our various industry suppliers who helped make this Dynamic clock continually tick. Dynamic Syndications relies on the information flow and advice we receive from our team of professional Trainers, Jockeys, Vets, Farriers, Spelling Farms, Pre-Trainers, Horse Educator, Transporters, Insurance Agent, Accountants, Auditors, and Solicitors. Also we acknowledge our friends in the media for their coverage of Dynamic Syndications stories throughout the year. We acknowledge our associations with TV & Radio Commercial Production house, TVN and Sky Channel and Sky Sports Radio. Every member of the vast network of suppliers above contributes significant roles in helping us achieve the desired dreams of racetrack glory. So formally, on behalf of everyone in the Dynamic office and all our owners we thank you.
Leading into the Christmas period gives us a time to reflect on the past 12 months. The year that was - 2011. A year filled with highs and lows, tears of joy and sorrow, a year of sometimes despair but more often gratitude, a year that has provided many good memories along the way, cemented friendships and finally offers hope that 2012 becomes the year you want it to be!
As this issue is our final Newsletter for 2011, we revisit a tremendous year for Dynamic Syndications.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, see you all at the track soon.
Chasing a Record Number of Winners in 2011
As at time or writing this Newsletter, Dynamic Syndications yearling selections have won a massive 70 Races in the 2011 Calender Year. This has bettered our previous record of 68 wins however we set ourselves a self imposed target of 70 wins in the year and we have achieved this incredible milestone.
Naturally we are thrilled with this result. Our previous best 12 month period was the 2009-10 Racing Season which produced 68 race wins for that year.
In 2011, included in our total of 70 wins are 18 Metropolitan wins (26%) where 11 were in Saturday Class (61%). These included a Group 1 Win and two Listed Race Wins.
Since our first winner under the Dynamic Syndications Banner was on 22/10/2005, in 6 years since, we have selected horses that have now won 261 races.
In the 2011-12 Racing Season which commenced on 1 August, after now just over 4 months, we have won 29 races including 7 Metropolitan Wins (25%) (4 at Saturday Class).
Since our first runner 22 October 2005, we have had
125 runners : 121 have won prizemoney (96.8% Runners : Prizemoney Earners)
125 runners : 100 Individual Winners (80% Winners : Runners)
Sold Out
Dynamic took a bullish approach in the yearling market this year since the influence of the GFC, purchasing 16 yearlings with a syndicated dollar value of $2.55 million. We are proud our judgement was timed to perfection and we have put up the Sold Out Sign on all our high-quality thoroughbred offerings. Dynamic recorded sales to 197 clients in 2011.
In the sales department, Adam has completed his first full year in the workforce having achieved his degree in Sports Management in December 2010. Adam has been a fantastic addition to Dynamic. His enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the racing industry for a young man of just 21 years of age is pillar to our team. Specifically his ability to map out races and engage jockeys for Dynamic horses has been an instrumental part of reaching a record year on the track and in the office.
Adam got off to a booming start to the year with plenty of trading taking place on the back of some fantastic racetrack results we were achieving. The middle third of the year was significantly slower, the Winter Racing and wet tracks didn't set our clients imaginations alight, we had a steady stream of enquires and sales to keep us active and moving along.
However the final third of the 2011 really had our office in a frenzy, with the team closing in on the 70 winners mark for the calendar year and the spring carnival was in the forefront of people's minds, combined with the fact that our team of Dynamic trainers were on fire, our remaining stock Sold Out in a matter of weeks.
The phone has continued to run hot since we put up the Sold Out sign with many keen thoroughbred enthusiasts trying to get involved with a nice horse before Christmas. Such has been the demand, we could have syndicated another couple of horses with ease had we had stock available.
Luckily the 2012 sales season is only around the corner and we are confident we will be able to continue meeting our client base's needs.
On the administration side, Fiona has been fantastic. Fiona has been under increased workloads due to the rapid fire selling by Adam. This requires Fiona to not only keep on top of the mountains of paperwork running the Dynamic Syndications accounts, keeping both our accountants and also our auditors satisfied, she also has the responsibilities to produce the Product Disclosure Statements and Syndicate Deeds, and all Racing NSW required documentation. On top of that, she runs the disbursement of funds from the high number of individual trust accounts for various reasons such as sales and prizemoney, etc. Her workload is incredible and she always handles every call in a professional and personable manner. No doubt about it, Fiona is the rock at Dynamic we all rely upon.
As for customer service, our friendly and diligent client liaison officer Peter sees another year pass where the management team are delighted to receive the continued compliments by email, phone calls and in person about Peter's happy disposition. Our clients develop a genuine bond with Peter, who is their contact point at Dynamic. He writes to them as a minimum every week and follows up with phone calls and attends to the requests of our clients wherever possible. He always does a terrific job for Dynamic and we are delighted to have Peter in our team.
New Voice on TV Ads creates Interest
During the last few months of 2011 there was a change to the voiceovers on our TVN advertising campaigns. It created a lot of interest amongst clients and racing enthusiasts as to who the mystery voice belonged too. Dynamic Syndications would like to reveal that the voice belongs to Rachel Watt. In 2011, Rachel completed her first year at the University of NSW studying Media specialising in Advertising and Public Relations. Further, Rachel is also studying speech at the Australian Speech and Communications Association (ASCA) where she finished the year with a High Distinction.
There was much debate on the social media forums as to which female racing personality was involved. Many of our clients were confused. However the common thread of all the social media conversations was a big thumbs up liking of the change. The advertising also hit the mark with consumers as we had significant inquiry for these horses, well above our standard campaign inquiry levels. Team Dynamic would like to thank Rachel for the terrific job she did for us.
Welcome to the Team - A Record Number of New Clients in 2011
Dynamic Syndications had a huge influx of new cliental in 2011 and we are absolutely thrilled that so many first time participants identified our instantly recognisable and successful red and white silks as the team they wanted to become involved with.
The joy of watching our clients wining races and their excitement and the smile it brought across their faces is ultimately very rewarding. Our clients are our business and we are delighted with the amount of positive feedback we have received from all our new Dynamic Team members that are experiencing racehorse ownership with us for the first time. With 124 new clients (63% of sales) becoming Dynamic this year, we look forward to meeting everyone in the very near future. We look forward to living the dream with you over the years to come.
2012 Sales Season
The New Year means New Yearlings with a whole new crop of youngsters about to take their places through sales all over the country over the coming months.
The team at Dynamic Syndications are already preparing for the upcoming Sales Seasons with our heads firmly planted in Sale Catalogues when we can find a spare minute or two.
This is a very busy period for our staff. We are all busily working away as it takes
many hours of research per catalogue. Things should hopefully slow down around the office over the Christmas New Year period where we put in 12 hour days in research and preparation which allowing us the necessary time to complete the pedigree ratings for the three early sales that take place in January. The 2012 Sales Season is as follows:

Magic Millions Carnival
The Dynamic Syndications team has been well represented at the Magic Millions
Carnival over recent years and this year looks to be no exception. We have 8 runners in the team that are eyeing off possible Gold Coast missions. They include:
- Curfew - Magic Millions 2yo Race
- Chew The Fat - Magic Millions Open Sprint
- Masterstroke - Magic Millions 3yo Guineas or Maiden
- Chomp - Magic Millions Country Cup or Fillies and Mares 1300m
- Crack A Smile - Magic Millions Maiden
- Midnight At Ascot - Magic Millions Cup and Open Sprint
- Atomic Force - Magic Millions Cup and Open Sprint
- Noble Edict - Magic Millions Cup and Class 6 1200m
Dynamic owners were able to pull a stack of money out of the raceday last year with Midnight At Ascot winning the Country Cup, Posh Chic running 2nd in the Fillies and Mares 1300m and Atomic Force finishing a luckless 3rd in the Open Sprint.
We look forward to hopefully having some very excited owners on the Gold Coast again this year. We are hopeful that we can repeat the passion again in 2012.
Doing The Job
Reward For Effort has taken to the breeding season like a duck to water. Our Group 1 Winning Son of Exceed and Excel stood his first Season at Stud at Chastwood Stud in Victoria. He has covered a huge book and proven to be very fertile with plenty of positive tests. It appears Reward For Effort may end up covering one of if not the largest book of mares for a First Season Sire in Australia in 2011 which will give him a huge opportunity of stud success. We look forward to being in Melbourne this time next year to see all the little Reward For Effort foals running around. If the foals are half as good types as their sire was then, we are confident you will see plenty of Reward For Efforts in the sales in 2013 and saluting at the races in the 2013-14 season.
Come Fly With Me, Let's Fly Away
Our latest Group 1 super star Atomic Force is getting set to embark on a trip across the Tasman to take on New Zealand's best sprinters in the Group 1 Railway stakes at Ellerslie on New Year's Day. Atomic Force has been kept up to the mark following his gutsy win at Canterbury a little over two weeks ago with an impressive Barrier Trial win at Warwick Farm on Thursday. The horse is in good shape and we are thoroughly looking forward to our first venture overseas with a Dynamic Syndications Galloper. Good luck to all the team.
Atomic Force was a $50,000 yearling purchase by Dynamic Syndications at the 2007 Magic Millions. His resume reads: 35 Starts = 10 wins, 6 seconds, 6 thirds and $757,050.
Current Racing Crop
Acouplamas
This stakes-placed daughter of Al Maher is enjoying her new surrounds at Williamtown under the care of Darren Smith. She has trialled well in recent weeks in preparation for her debut run for the Smith Stable.
Atomic Force
Our current stable-star is currently being readied for a raid on the NZ Group 1 Railways Stakes on New Years Day at Ellerslie. He has been in breathtaking form since demolition win in the Group1 The James Boag Galaxy Stakes at Randwick during the Autumn Carnival.
Boulevard Baron
Fresh from a win and a second at his last two outings for Darren Smith, Boulevard Baron has been returned to the paddock for a freshen up. The horse has shown a devastating turn of foot at his latest outings and we look forward to seeing him back at the races soon.
Chew The Fat
This boom Queensland youngster is set to take the summer by storm, he is coming along very nicely at present under the care and guidance of Matt Dunn and by all reports he has not put a hoof wrong to date. Our immediate aim is the Magic Millions Open Sprint, however there are plenty of nice races for good money over the coming months for this Snitzel youngster.
Chomp
This Flying Spur mare posted her second win at her latest outing and if you saw the win you would be confident there will be many more wins in store. Chomp is coming through the grades nicely at present and whilst we are not getting ahead of ourselves we are confident there is a nice race in her along the way.
Crack A Smile
Currently doing the trial scene in readiness for a tilt at a race in the coming weeks, unfortunately this injury plagued son of Break The Vault has not had the easiest start to life, however his loyal owners have stuck by him and we are hopeful they will see him head to the races in the coming weeks.
Dream Choice
He may not be the biggest horse in training; however he may have the biggest sized heart. Dream Choice broke his maiden in devastating fashion last preparation and after being the victim of circumstances at his latest two runs he was sent to the spelling paddock. We look forward to seeing this son of Redoute's Choice return to the track as an Autumn 3yo were we are confident of bold showings.
Excellent Point
Currently enjoying the sun on his back in the paddock after turning his form around at the end of last preparation. Always blessed with a ton of natural ability this son of Exceed and Excel was being readied for a summer preparation before a virus took hold of his body. The horse will continue to spell before looking to come back into work at the end of January.
Forerunner
The Darren Smith trained son of Charge Forward broke his maiden in good fashion two starts ago before finding an unsuitable surface at his latest outing. The horse has been working well and has been mentioned in the Sportsman for his track work efforts since his maiden win and he looks set to go around again in the coming weeks.
Full Blast
The son of Stratum has always been touted as a potential top liner with impressive trial displays behind the likes of smart performers Smart Missile and Nobby Snip. After failing to measure up last preparation, the horse has been since gelded. A stable change to Darren Smith's rural facility was done in the hope of getting him away from the hustle of a city base might bring out the best in the horse. He is currently in work and
progressing along nicely and we look forward to seeing him back at the track in the New Year.
Gallant Spur
"Horses in Form, hold their form" never a truer saying has been used in relation to Dynamic Galloper Gallant Spur. With a win, a second and a third at his last three outings the son of Flying Spur looks to have plenty of races at his mercy up to 2000m in the coming weeks.
Heaps More
The Al Maher filly is bred to run 2000m+ and after an encouraging first up performance we look forward to stepping the mare up in distance over the coming weeks, she has been working well at home and we are confident that there is a win in her in the very near future.
Icy Mist
A change of stable to Sydney's Leading trainer in Chris Waller has proved to be a Masterstroke for the owners of Icy Mist. Since changing stable the mare by Al Maher has became a city winner with another two city placing's added to her name. She is in white-hot form at the moment and we look forward to watching her progress over the coming weeks.
Itchy Tiger
After a huge run first up in the Hyde Park Cup, the horse was sent back to the paddock for a quick freshen up. Itchy Tiger had trialled sensationally leading in this preparation and if his first up run is anything to go by the owners will be having a lot of fun over the coming weeks.
Just A Splash
After promising so much at the trials early on in her career the owners decided to have a change of stable. The mare is now in the care of Gerald Ryan and with the benefit of a recent spell we are confident in seeing the best of Just A Splash next preparation.
King Bing
Trainer Chris Waller reports that King Bing is a horse that has ability but just doesn't know how to use it. Green as grass and lacking race craft and tractability, the son of Beautiful Crown has trialled well in the lead up to this racing preparation and ran well recently at Hawkesbury. He is one to follow.
Masterstroke
The son of Exceed and Excel is back in work two-stone lighter and by all reports he is different horse, Masterstroke threw away a couple of races last preparation due to his lack of race day manners. The owners have been very patient and we look forward to seeing the horse back at the races in a few weeks' time.
Midnight At Ascot
This time last year Scotty as he is affectionately known around the stables was being set for a Class 3 at Taree, since then he has gone on to win close to another $120,000 in prizemoney highlighted by 3 individual Country Cup wins and a third in the Listed ATC Lightning Handicap. Scotty has turned his career around under the guidance of Darren Smith and he would go down as the most improved horse on the Dynamic books.
Miss Chaquetta
The full sister to current Victorian Stallion Pillar Of Hercules is trained by leading Caulfield trainer Peter Moody, the stable have always liked the filly by Rock Of Gibraltar and we look forward to seeing her progress as an Autumn 3yo.
Noble Edict
Noble is one of the old men in the Dynamic Syndications Racing Team, the stable stalwart has been racing consistently at city level since he made his debut as 2yo. He had a recent stable change and appears to be a happier horse at his new surroundings with Darren Smith.
Persistency
Currently in full work with Darren Smith, for the owners of the aptly named Persistency. Showed plenty early on this 3/4 brother in blood to our own Reward For Effort before damaging his suspensory ligament in a training mishap. He has been out a long time and we are hopeful to have him at the races in the next month.
Platamone Castle
Fresh from a devastating win first up over 1430m this Lonhro gelding has come back and looks a serious horse this time in. Trainer Mick Price believes Platamone Castle has taken the necessary improvement during his spell to develop into a city class horses.
Posh Chic
Posh has had a rough 2011 with continual sickness and niggly injuries, the mare has had a recent stable change and is now under the care of Gerald Ryan at Rosehill. Gerald believes Posh is a now a happy and user-friendly horse, who has been working very well on the training tracks at home.
Savage Blaze
The term "stay all day" comes to mind when talking about Savage Blaze, the Savabeel gelding doesn't seem to get warm until he hits 2000m+. He is currently in full work and only weeks off a trial, watching out for this imposing galloper as he steps out over the longer trips.
Strathspey
A consistent mare that always tries her heart out, the Al Maher mare won in devastating fashion first up under new trainer Darren Smith and Jockey Tommy Berry couldn't believe it was the same horse.
She's A Rock Star
Another contender for most improved, previously with a city based stable who thought her career was limited, the Rock Of Gibraltar mare has showed that is clearly not the case. Now under the care of Darren Smith, Rocky has won 2 City races and has performed at stakes class under her new training regime.
Superior Instinct
After a devastating win at Randwick to kick off the new season, Superior has failed to flatter at his recent outings. A sore and unhappy horse, he was transferred to the care of Darren Smith and is now enjoying the sun on his back whilst having a spell as he gets over his issues.
Trick Shot
With a fantastic debut run under her belt the Chris Waller trained daughter of Al Maher will look to step up in distance over the coming weeks. The stable have always had a good opinion of the filly and she looks ready to shake her maiden tag in the coming weeks.
Triumphant Choice
A half-brother to Savabeel who has been stakes-performed, really attacked the line well first up and second up before starting to mix his form. Currently enjoying the warmth on his back whilst having a spell up here in NSW before looking to resume in the New Year.
2011 Yearling Crop - Now 2yo's
