Dream Choice - An easy winner at Hawkesbury
Dynamic Runners, Dream Choice and Boulevard Baron will line up at Warwick Farm tomorrow (weather permitting) over 1400 and 1100 metres respectively.
Both horses aren't traditional mud larks however the races are much needed for improving their fitness as we look to the future and hopefully, both will be competitive in what look like winnable races.
Dream Choice is coming off a terrific effort when finishing second on Easter Monday and should be a good chance yet again, especially if the rain stays away in the next 24 hours.
He will line up in the Vale Tom Brassel Handicap which is the first race on the card and is also stepping up from 1300 to 1400 metres after hitting the line nicely last start.
The son of Redoute's Choice is also nominated for the Listed Gosford Guineas on Sunday however with the forecast saying the rain will not let up all week, we will assess our options moving forward and pick the appropriate race for him.
Top hoop, Nash Rawiller is booked to take the ride tomorrow whilst no jockey has been engaged as yet if he goes to Gosford on Sunday.
Boulevard Baron has won 4 races including this Warwick Farm win
Boulevard Baron will be back from a spell when he lines up in the fourth race of the day, The Regupol Equine Safety Surfaces Handicap over 1100 metres.
Last time he was first up in November last year, he produced an outstanding run to outperform his rivals and gobble them up in the straight to win at 18-1.
Darren Smith and Jimmy Cassidy again team up for Dynamic and we are hoping for a good showing from the gelding as he looks for his fifth victory in nineteen starts.
Although not 100% suited by the surface, Boulevard Baron has had 4 runs on the wet for a win and a second so we expect a fair showing from the constantly improving horse.
Both geldings are hoping the rain stays away however the races are much needed for both horses early in their preparations.
Both
David Payne, who trains Dream Choice and
Darren Smith, trainer of Boulevard Baron are confident the horses can perform well despite the track conditions.
Keep an eye out for both these horses on Wednesday and as they continue to progress through the grades in their current preparation.
