Three Fabulous Fillies by Champion Stallions FASTNET ROCK - ENCOSTA DE LAGO & COMMANDS were added to an already outstanding stable of potential racetrack stars secured by Dynamic Syndications in 2012.
Overall the sale was a fantastic advertisement for the high quality Bloodstock bred in Australia. A total of $72,825,000 has been traded on the 330 yearlings sold from Session One of the 96th annual Australian Easter Yearling Sale, with a clearance rate of 83%, up 2 per cent on the corresponding figure recorded twelve months ago.
The Session One average kept rising the further the sale progressed as buyers found their tempo in this mashed up market and the Day one clearance rate rose from 74% on Tuesday evening to now 82%.
Lot 263 = Commands / Making Fey Yearling Filly
The average closed at $220,991 with a median at $160,000.
The market was unsteady throughout based upon uncertainty with domestic political factors and economic trends. However the biggest factor was X-rays and the high failure rate. This created a lumpy market as some yearlings with issues sold well under their true value and clean x-rayed horses often sold over value as professional buyers were forced into a restricted supply market.
Session Two also saw rises in gross and average with 88 yearlings sold in Session Two at a clearance rate of 83%, adding an additional $6,481,000 to the sale gross, which stood at the close of trading at $79,306,000.
This session two has a proven track record of unearthing top class gallopers and we are hopeful we can add to the tally with our impressive Fastnet Rock filly.
Mark Webster CEO of Inglis said "Group One winning two-year-olds and Champion three-year-olds continue to be purchased from across all buying levels at the Easter sale and on behalf of the Inglis team I wish purchasers the best of luck in the future with their new stable additions".
