The ATC Doncaster Handicap Gr1 1600m is not only one of the famous races in Sydney but is also among the most prestigious races in Australia.
It is always an honour and a very long road to get a horse to the Doncaster, let alone get more than one runner.
Dynamic Syndications trainer, CHRIS WALLER, in an outstanding training performance has managed to get 4 runners into the final field of 20.
Dean Watt and Chris Waller
Waller saddles up Rangirangdoo (TAB No. 1), Shoot Out (No. 3), Albert the Fat (No. 5), and Danleigh (No.7) in the $2 million feature handicap.
The most favoured of these runners is Shootout which has been freshened up since his close 3rd in the Ranvet Stakes at Rosehill in March.
Rangirangdoo is also well in commission after finishing ahead of Shoot Out in the Ranvet and then finishing only a half-length off the winner in the George Ryder.
Both Albert the Fat and Danleigh are outsiders in the field despite Albert the Fat's win in the Group 1 Emirates Stakes in the Spring and Danleigh's recent 2nd in the Chipping Norton. The stable racing manager Liam Prior was interviewed earlier today and was bullish that Albert The Fat was crying out for 1600m and is expected to run well.
The rain and wet track that is predicted for Saturday should not be a worry for Chris's horses as they have all won stakes races on wet tracks previously.
This is an unbelievable effort from Chris to get 4 horses up and going for one of the most celebrated events in the racing calendar.
Dynamic currently has 11 horses on our books with Sydney's leading trainer, Chris Waller from yearlings yet to arrive at his stables to horse who have already had a couple of preparations.
These are promising signs for both Dynamic Syndications and Chris Waller. Both entities continue to improve and break records each year.
