The Dynamic Syndications owned Itchy Tiger will travel toScone today in an attempt to get his name back in the winners' book.
The cleverly named son of Hold That Tiger will take part in the Prydes Easifeed Handicap at Class 3 level over 1400 metres.
Trying to find a decent track and some good weather in NSW has been rather difficult over the past week however Scone has managed to stay dry with the weather predicted to be fine and the track rated a Dead 4 for this afternoons meet.
The Darren Smith trained gelding will take part in the 5th race on the card and will strip much fitter after two runs so far this prep.
Leading provincial and bush jockey Jeff Penza is booked to take the ride on Itchy Tiger who will carry 57.5kgs and jump from barrier four of eleven in the class 3 handicap.
Itchy Tiger has put in two solid efforts this preparation back at the track after a long lay-off and Darren reports the horse to be working quite well in the yard.
There does not seem to be a huge amount of pace in the race and we anticipate Jeff will get a nice run in transit.
We are hoping to see plenty of improvement from our lightly raced 6 year old and are hopeful we will see his 4th victory at his pet distance of 1400 metres.
Itchy Tiger sits on the fourth line of betting in what looks to be a tricky race however a return to his best form could see him standing atop of the podium later today.
The race is due to jump at 3.02pm this afternoon and can be seen on Sky Racing 1 or alternatively heard through the Sky Racing Radio.
