A leading player in the Northern Hemisphere last season where he was placed First by Group Winners, Second by Winners and Third by Earnings, JUSTIFY (USA) has hit the ground running in the Southern Hemisphere as well. Here in Australia, despite the USA Triple Crown Winner not racing as a 2yo, he is the sire of Australia’s Best Two-Year-Old to date, in the Undefeated dual stakes winning Filly LEARNING TO FLY (Justify x Ennis Hill (by Fastnet Rock).

A treble of metropolitan winners on Wednesday has seen Arrowfield Stud’s champion sire SNITZEL become the 4th sire to join the century club with 100 Australian winners for the season. SNITZEL with 100 winners from 242 runners (41.3%) including 11 Stakes Winners, joins I AM INVINCIBLE (132/299 = 44.1%); WRITTEN TYCOON (112/292 = 38.4%); ZOUSTAR (106/303 = 35%). SNITZEL is also the sire of the Dams of 21 Stakes-Winners.

The 2023 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale has concluded with some strong results for this style of sale. Inglis Bloodstock chief executive Sebastian Hutch described the results at the Classic as “very satisfying. It has certainly been stronger that what we anticipated pre-sale. Now focus heads to Melbourne for the Premier Sale. It’s a fantastic catalogue with a lot of high-quality horses and we will be continuing to work hard to ensure the success of that sale.’’

Another Dynamic Racing Story unfolded on Monday at Newcastle on the Beaumont track when our 3yo Filly FRANKIE'S ME DAD (FRANKEL x DADDY’S POPPET (Scat Daddy)) broke her maiden in an emphatic display of staying potential. Our Filly is trained by the Dynamic Duo of Ciaron Maher and David Eustace from their Warwick Farm base and was facing the starter for just her third raceday visit to the barriers.

On a day of trade that saw confidence in most facets of the market, it was the Written Tycoon x Sylvia’s Mother colt that topped proceedings, selling to Tony Fung Investments and Inglis Millennium-winning trainer Annabel Neasham for $550,000. The second-top lot was an Extreme Choice x Top Billing colt offered by Kingstar Farm, which sold to for $480,000. The colt will head to Melbourne and be trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr. At the conclusion of Day 1, the sale average sits at $115,767 with a clearance rate of 81% and gross of $23,616,500.

JUSTIFY’S daughter LEARNING TO FLY (2f Justify x Ennis Hill, by Fastnet Rock) continued to help her sire make a big splash when she jumped to Group 1 Golden Slipper favouritism after winning the $2 million Inglis Millennium. As a result, JUSTIFY has surged to lead at the top of the Australian first season sire’s table and it would take a near miracle to deny him of Champion First Season Sire in Australia. Justify has sired 33 winners, including 7 Stakes Winners, 5 Stakes Placegetters and 3 Stakes Performers. That equals 15 of his 33 winning progeny have earned Black Type to date, and that is a massive 45.5%

With Back-to-Back Metropolitan wins, it has proven to be a terrific investment for Dynamic Syndications and our ownership team, when we purchased a 50% Share in the highly promising 4yo mare SONORA (So You Think x Spurs And Sashes by Flying Spur) to race the mare in co-ownership with Kevin Maloney and his Segenhoe Stud team. SONORA trained by Ciaron Maher Racing and ridden by Brenton Avdulla, Won Race 5, at Royal Randwick, a Bm 78 for Fillies & Mares over 1300m. SONORA won in a slick time of 1:16.46 last 600m 34.54

Debutant Filly LEARNING TO FLY (2yo JUSTIFY x ENNIS HILL (by FASTNET ROCK) became the first Australian 2yo WINNER and more importantly, a sizzling Stakes Winner in Class Record Time for Coolmore's Undefeated JUSTIFY (USA) and put herself in sharp focus, and equal second favourite, for the Gr1 Golden Slipper after her Widden Stakes Success. Dynamic Syndications / Dean Watt Bloodstock / Ciaron Maher Racing purchased a terrific JUSTIFY at the Magic Millions. Lot 206 was a Chestnut Colt from ORONTES (by Champion Sire & Champion Broodmare Sire – REDOUTE’S CHOICE).
