“I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to compete my 2015 off the track thoroughbred Karlo Rosso (who raced as ‘Kalks’) through the sponsorship of Adam Watt at Dynamic Syndications. Thank you for supporting all aspects of the racing industry.
“Competing at Equimillion would be a great opportunity for us to show how sweet, athletic and versatile thoroughbreds can be.
“Karlo is a perfect example of a successful career after racing.
“I got ‘Kalks’ a couple of years ago. He was formerly trained by Neil Osborne out of the Canberra area. He was too slow to be a competitive racehorse, so the decision was made to move him on. He was loved by the staff there who still ask for regular updates and follow his new journey on social media. He surely has a lot of fans!
“I saw him and thought he was a nice type and had a kind eye. It didn’t take long after starting to ride him for Karlo to be at the top of my little team of horses. He is naturally athletic and has the diligence of a champion: always happy to give any new challenges a go.
“He has certainly found his potential as an eventer. He always tries his heart out to please his rider. He is a talented jumper and very brave and fast over cross country jumps. Not only does he give me a great feel to ride but is also the sweetest horse to own. He is definitely part of the family. He has a calm and easy-going personality which makes him very trustworthy.
“Young kids can feed and rug him. He is able to take a beginner friend for a quiet ride around the beach one day and win me a ribbon the next day.
“Karlo will be competing in the eventing 95cm open on Saturday and Sunday and in the show jumping (open 100cm) on Monday.
“Thank you again for the opportunity.”

“I first saw Kenny on a Facebook post at the end of last year. The description was short and sweet. There wasn’t much to know other than he had been sitting in a paddock ever since retirement from racing in 2017. He didn’t even have a stable name! Somehow, I came up with the name “Kenny” and if you were to meet him you’d certainly say it suits him!
“His racing career was far from successful, - His race name was Aldrich. He finished last in both his maiden attempts (as well as a few unimpressive trials) but I was simply looking for an eventing project, so that’s what I got!
“Kenny is still new to the competition world, with Equimillion being only his 4th eventing start. It just took a little bit longer than expected to get him comfortable in the new and exciting environment that comes with competitions. But the patience paid off as he’s now showing great talent and success, he recently finished in the placings at Sydney eventing in the 80 eventing.
“Although he has natural scope and a neat jump, I’d say his strongest phase is certainly dressage where he always receives lovely comments from judges.
“We are competing in the EvA80 eventing this weekend at Equimillion.
“It hasn’t been an easy journey but I’m just so grateful to have such a special off the track thoroughbred and so excited to see how far he can go!
The
DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS Team
wish both young ladies their much loved horses the best of fortune in their chosen events.
