LUGH
Dynamic Syndications upward trending galloper LUGH (Snitzel x Marcia Proba) allowed his Dynamic Owners to have a tremendous shout and cheer as their horse lead up the rise at Randwick on Tuesday from a horror barrier 17 of 20 starters over the 1600m trip of the $3million BIG DANCE (Listed Race).

LUGH finishing 3rd
Lugh’s efforts were tough and brave (typical of the Celtic Warrior from whom his racename is derived) as he hung on to finish a clear third (3rd) place to his fellow stablemates Gringotts and Vivy Air, to see the Ciaron Maher Stable trifecta the feature event.

LUGH in front at the 100m
From the carpark barrier, there are only two options, forward or back.
We elected to allow him to run to his established racing style of rolling forward, and a well-rated ride in front by Regan Baylis allowed the race to be run at a genuine tempo.

Lugh - finishing 3rd to Gringotts and Vivy Air
This got all the chasers off the bit other than his stablemates, and as the camera flashed for Gringotts, in second spot Vivy Air was 1.18 Lengths away, whilst LUGH was officially 1.99 lengths behind the winner and 0.81 length behind Vivy Air.
LUGH had led the field a merry dance through the race and the work he had to do early to cross from out wide and find the fence plus the fact he was 8-weeks between race starts just told over the concluding stages as his stablemates had the drop on him and both were far better treated at the weight scale over LUGH.

LUGH on his way to the barriers
There was a story in the press on Monday saying the stable thought they could trifecta the race in the order they finished, and they achieved their goal.

Lugh as a Yearling
LUGH was purchased by Adam Watt for Dynamic Syndications / Dean Watt Bloodstock for $210,000 at the Inglis Premier and has taken his career record to now:
9 Starts: 5:0:2:1 and $514,400.
A special shout out to Adam at Dynamic Syndications who has expertly managed the horse and placed him to advantage all the way to have achieved this result.

LUGH winning the Forster / Tuncurry Cup to qualify for the BIG DANCE
To ensure we qualified for the Big Dance, Adam mapped out a plan that took us to Tuncurry – Forster to win their Cup and qualify for the Big Dance.
It’s not often horses can get to race in $3million events and to bank $300,000 for finishing third is like winning 4 metropolitan Saturday Races.
