"HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES" to our entire stable of horses as today,
Monday the 1st of August (in the Southern Hemisphere) is the
horses’ birthday.
The
1st of August each year is the date all horses in the
Southern Hemisphere are judged to turn one year older, no matter their actual foaling date.
This is implemented to achieve a
uniform date for all equestrian pursuits and was introduced because of the historical lack of records of actual foaling dates.
It’s particularly important in the racing industry where a high proportion of racing is conducted in age group classification.
Their actual foaling date is always recorded with the Australian Stud Book but that is of little consequence due to industry standardisation.
Horses foaled earlier in the breeding season will have a physical advantage early on the racetrack based upon maturity and physical development.
As we have many horse’s under management around Australia, the Team at Dynamic Syndications take this opportunity on behalf of ALL our owners to wish ALL our horse a very
