On Thursday 12 May 2022, a
Major Milestone was
achieved for the
incredibly successful CIARON MAHER RACING Team as the
co-trainers CIARON MAHER and DAVID EUSTACE scored their
1,000th Race Win as a Training Partnership since the boys set out together on the
1st August 2018.

In just
3 years and 9 months, the
Dynamic Duo have been represented
1,000 times in the Winner’s Circle, with
91 Stakes Wins (15 Group 1 Wins) included amongst this success.
Over these
45 months, the team are training on average,
22 Winners a month, every-month, for 45 months.
Naturally the bulk of these winners have come in the back-half of this 45-month timezone.
The boy’s
1,000th Win was recorded in a 3yo+ Maiden over 2012m at Kilmore on 12 May when Miss Havana Cosmic ridden by John Allen saluted.
The Team at CIARON MAHER RACING are producing some brilliant results due to their due diligence and attention to detail supplied by some of the best horse people in Australia.

Monday 16 May 2022, the

winning double last Saturday at Flemington.

An Overview:
The racing life of Trainer Ciaron Maher began when he began as a jumps jockey in the Warrnambool area.
When that path didn't work out, he turned his attention to training both flat and jumps horses.
His first big moment in racing was when
Tears I Cry surprised most in the 2007 Cantala Stakes at the juicy odds of 100-1 and soon after he was also taking feature hurdles and steeple races including his the deeds of his freakish horse
Al Garhood who took two (2) Grand Annuals.
On the 1st August 2018, Ciaron promoted from within gun employee David Eustace to become his co-trainer.
In their first season together, the boys expanded their operations and their results kept going from strength to strength.

From a humble start with just
six (6) boxes located on
his father’s dairy farm, now to controlling one of the best training facilities in the world,
Ciaron Maher has come a long way in a few successful years.
Ciaron's early promise as a jockey came to an end because he grew too big, but not before he had led the Australian Jockey’s Team against the Irish in the International Challenge. His growing size would not stop his love of horse racing, so he threw all his energy, enthusiasm and horsemanship intelligence into becoming a leading trainer.
From CS Hayes to Bart Cummings, from Aidan O'Brien to Willie Mullins – he studied under the best and took aspects of training from them all, and then moulded his own unique method.
Ciaron firmly believes you only get better by learning from the best and has added time on his resume with international leading horsemen
Wesley Ward (USA), Roger Charlton and Richard Hannon (UK), Joseph O’Brien (IRE) and André Fabre (France).
Ciaron has surrounded himself with a combination of a brilliant young team of highly intelligent, outstanding horsemen and horsewomen, who have been trained in Ciaron’s methods.
Along with their main Ballarat training facilities (Ciaron believes to be amongst the best in the world), and complimentary facilities at Cranbourne and Warwick Farm, being supported via their hand-picked beach facilities at Balnarring, and a custom-made, pre-training and spelling operation at Pakenham, Ciaron truly believes he has the team and the facilities to be the best training operations in Australia.
FACILITIES
Ballarat
Ciaron’s flagship stable, and arguably one of the finest training establishments anywhere in the world.
Cranbourne
The stables at Cranbourne Turf Club's state-of-the-art training complex are home to around 40 of the stable’s horses in work and serves as our main hub for Melbourne runners. It also allows the movement of horses between beach, farm and pre-training locations with far more ease.
Sydney
Their Sydney stable at Warwick Farm, overseen by Ciaron, and run day-to-day by Johann Gerard-Dubord and his team, provides the NSW base that so many owners had been crying out for with their BOBS Bonus Prizemoney eligible horses. Every owner now has the opportunity to access the excellent prizemoney available in NSW and Victoria and be confident in the knowledge that the disciplines, systems and training regimes are exactly the same across all facilities.
Balnarring
Beach training at Balnarring provides the perfect environment for some older and more experienced horses. Working in the deep sand and saltwater helps keeps them fit, sound and mentally alert and at the top of their game.
Pakenham Farm
The Pakenham farm might be a nice little break for the horses, but Ciaron employs the unique method of having all his horses do dressage when at the farm and the results speak for themselves.
