Returning to Australia for his fifth consecutive season this spring, USA Racing hero AMERICAN PHAROAH sired
another two year-old stakes-winner in the USA when speedy colt
TRUST OUR JOURNEY (2c American Pharoah x Tribal Music, by AP Warrior) scored a tenacious win in the $100,000 Colonial Downs Rosie’s Stakes 5 ½ f (1100m) on turf.
TRUST OUR JOURNEY
Trust Our Journey was a debut winner at Gulfstream back in May and has been stakes-placed twice since then.
Ridden forward,
Trust Our Journey took up the lead from the gates and was strong to the line to hold on and win by a neck. He has the overall record of two wins and two placings from five starts.
Trust Our Journey is a half-brother to stakes-winner Tribal Drama from winning AP Warrior mare Tribal Music, who comes from a female family that has enjoyed success in Australia with Group 2 winner Hey Pronto.
Trust Our Journey became the
20th stakes-winner worldwide for American Pharoah, whose
Australian progeny have just turned three.
AMERICAN PHAROAH - Sire
In 2021 calendar year, he is the sire of
12 stakes-winners in North America, Japan and Ireland.
American Pharaoh stands this spring at Coolmore Stud at a service fee of $49,500.
Hot on the heels of his
20th Stakes Winner American Pharoah unveiled another two youngsters with promise over the last few days.
New Zealand trainer Tony Pike has always had a big opinion of his colt
Khufu (2c American Pharoah x Strada Cavallo, by Alamosa) and when he produced him at Hawera on Friday, Khufu justified that view with a
strong finishing victory.
Spelled after finishing sixth on debut in the Group 2 Eclipse Stakes on New Year’s Day, Khufu has been allowed to grow and develop over the winter and produced a powerful late finish to charge home and win the 1200m maiden by a long neck as a hot favourite.
A $150,000 Karaka Book 1 purchase, Khufu is the first winner for stakes-winning Alamosa mare Strada Cavallo, who was Group 1 placed in both the New Zealand Thousand Guineas and Oaks.
Then on Saturday in Japan, American Pharoah’s success continued when Conch Pearl (2f American Pharoah x AZ Warrior, by Bernardini) romped to an eight-length maiden victory at Kokura.
The 7 ½ furlong (1500m) dirt race saw this daughter sprint out to the lead, opening up a few lengths on the rest of the field. After a furlong and a half, Conch Pearl was comfortably in control. As the field turned into the straight, Conch Pearl extended her lead and was given an easy ride proving much too good.
Conch Pearl was a $340,000 US Keeneland September purchase by North Hills. The filly out of Grade I winner A Z Warrior is also a half-sister to Galileo’s stakes winner Key to My Heart and stakes-placed Executive Chairman.
A Z Warrior is also a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Jojo Warrior, Grade 3 winner E Z Warrior, and stakes winner J Z Warrior with all four out of stakes-placed Carson Jen.
American Pharoah is the sire of six (6) 2-year-old winners this year, led by stakes winner Trust Our Journey.
In Japan, American Pharoah has also sired 16 winners from 21 starters overall.
The oldest Southern Hemisphere bred progeny of American Pharoah are just three-year-old’s with the best still to come this season given the majority of his first crop are still unraced.
DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS holds a strong belief in
American Pharoah as
a sire and
actively targeted his progeny this year at the sales, purchasing 3 wonderful youngsters.
We have sold out of two of these, and now only have
