PROVE MY LOVE
As we had previously highlighted, the win of
PROVE MY LOVE at Delaware Park on Thursday, became
Justify’s Ninth (9th) Individual Winner and this
superstar of the breeding barn continued to shine brightly over the weekend.
In an incredible start to his stallion’s career, JUSTIFY added another Two (2) Individual Winners – his 10th Individual Winner was a Gr3 Winner in Ireland; and his 11th Individual Winner was in the USA; plus he recorded three (3) debutant "runners-up" (2 in the USA and 1 in Japan).

Incredibly, he sired his Fourth (4th) Individual Stakes Winner when his daughter ASPEN GROVE gave her peers a
huge head start, and then
“a cold” as she
whizzed passed to claim the
Gr3 Newtownanner Stud Irish EBF Stakes over 1600m.
In the same event was
another daughter of JUSTIFY named DAME KIRI who previously had been
placed 3rd-twice. She crossed the line in
fourth place, adding
valuable black type to her pedigree page as well.
VERIFYING in control at Saratoga
Then just a few hours later at Saratoga (NY), JUSTIFY’S impressive son VERIFYING took out the opening race at New York’s big Travis Stakes Raceday.
JUSTIFY also had his
debutant son CHULLIGAN as runner-up in the first race at
Saratoga on Friday, then his
debutant son YATTITHAM was runner-up at Sapporo (Japan) on Saturday, and his
debutant daughter JUSTIFIABLE BELLE was a
runner-up in the first race at
Saratoga on Sunday.

ASPEN GROVE Becomes Fourth Stakes Winner For JUSTIFY

It was Stakes Winner number four (4) for USA Triple Crown winner JUSTIFY on Saturday in Ireland, when ASPEN GROVE (2f Justify x Data Dependent, by More Than Ready) won the Group 3 Newtownanner Stud Irish EBF Stakes becoming the sire’s tenth (10th) Individual Winner.
The filly spent much of the one-mile (1600m) race on the turf at the rear of the field before her jockey Mark Enright pushed the go-button with just over 400m to run.
ASPEN GROVE had her work cut out for her as she entered the final furlong, but over the final 100m, she zoomed passed a trio of leaders to claim victory by 1¼ lengths breaking her maiden in this Group 3 race.
Her peers she passed included another Justify daughter named
DAME KIRI, who finished just a breath away from the runner-up and third placegetter.
After this result, JUSTIFY was the sire of four (4) Stakes Winners (3 at Group Level) and a Stakes Placed runner-up, making five stakes performers overall plus Dame Kiri’s luckless developed print fourth placing, from his first 25 runners.
VERIFYING Eleventh (11th) Winner for JUSTIFY
VERIFYING "flys" to the line
The regally bred
VERIFYING (2c Justify x Diva Delite, by Repent) was a flashy debutant winner on Saturday, becoming the
eleventh (11th) Individual Winner for JUSTIFY when recording a
1¾ length Maiden Special Weight victory in race 1 at
Saratoga at their
feature Travis Stakes raceday.
VERIFYING’S success came only a few hours after
JUSTIFY had recorded his tenth (10th) Individual Winner and fourth (4th) Individual Stakes Winner with ASPEN GROVE in Ireland.
VERIFYING was quick out of the machine and put his head in front early in the six-furlong (1200m) dirt race. The company he had on either side of him didn’t seem to worry the colt, and he had his ears pricked down the home straight. He easily fought off the runner-up with 150m to run, and was never in doubt over the final 100m to record an eased down, clear race win.
VERIFYING was purchased for
USD $775,000 last year at the Keeneland September Sale by Team Coolmore’s M.V. Magnier and races for Jonathan Poulin, Westerberg, and the Coolmore partners.
