Sometimes the saying ring’s true that
"a picture says a thousand words" so imagine what incredible vision on a video would say – that would be more words than the latest edition of Encyclopedia Britannica!
Whilst we are on the other side of the planet, racing around the world
does impact on our industry here in the
Southern Hemisphere.
On Sunday evening at Del Mar in California, (Monday morning here in Australia), an unraced
2yo filly lined up in Race 8 a quality maiden race on debut.
JUSTIQUE was a
$725,000 Keeneland September graduate when purchased by Mayberry Farmand was facing the starter for the first time.
Its from here that the deeds of this filly named JUSTIQUE - a debutant by the boom first crop sire JUSTIFY must be seen to be believed.
Whilst the
standard side-on vision is very impressive, in the USA they also provide
drone footage of their races, and it’s this vision that needs to be seen to be believed.

It’s hard to find a more impressive debut win by a 2yo this season as we have seen with JUSTIQUE.
Slowly into stride from a wide barrier, her rider allowed the filly to find her feet early and drifted across to the rail to settle at the rear 3 lengths behind the second last horse, and
9 lengths off the leaders, as they passed the 900m marker.
As they entered the top turn out of the back straight, she had drifted further behind as the caller claimed she was
14 lengths off the leaders at that point.
It was from the 700m mark
JUSTIQUE’S rider began to improve, taking a gap between runners in front and then, moved to the outside 5-6 deep around the bend and into the home straight.
As they balanced for the run to the line,
JUSTIQUE was still the widest runner and now moved up into 5th position but still six lengths off the leaders.
With 300m to run on the work she had done already, any normal horse would hit the wall and fold, but not
JUSTIQUE who under hands and heels, ate up the ground out wide as the leaders were all in and under heavy pressure.
JUSTIQUE cruised passed them as if they were tied to the fence, and stride by stride the gap widened.
The victory earned her Thoroughbred Daily News
"Rising Star" status, the second Justify runner to receive that title.
Wow what a win!
Sire JUSTIFY is an excitement machine as America's Leading First Crop Sire
This was Coolmore’s super sire
JUSTIFY’S sixth (6th) Individual Winner from
15 to race whilst
another seven (7) runners have been placed.
Whilst he has sired 2 Stakes Winners and 1 Stakes Placegetter as well among his 6 winners.
JUSTIFY remains the clear Leading First Crop (Freshman) Sire in North America and impressively he is in second position on the overall 2YO Sires Premiership.
No debutant sire does this – it’s in the "freakish" category.
No wonder
Coolmore Stud believed he was
“too valuable” to be risked coming back to Australia as a shuttle sire after covering 3 crops in the Southern Hemisphere.
Whilst Northern Hemisphere 2yo sires may not necessarily work in the Southern Hemisphere,
JUSTIFY is from the SCAT DADDY (2yo speed) sireline, chock full of
2yo Gr1 sprint success that has
historically worked well in the Southern Hemisphere.
As a racehorse, early injury prevented
JUSTIFY racing as a 2yo, but when he hit the track at 3,
he was unbelievable. JUSTIFY was undefeated in his
one and only race preparation.
He raced on
6 occasions winning 4 Gr1 races including the time-honoured
USA Triple Crown.
So, the fact that he is siring
precocious runners is out of left field but
exceptionally enjoyable if you are
lucky enough to own one of his progeny, as
the future is exciting.
His first crop in Australia have turned 2yo’s today, the 1st August 2022 and
Dynamic Syndications are delighted that we have purchased 3 yearlings earlier this year that turned 2yo’s today.
Our JUSTIFY yearlings from PICKIN’ TIME and SAVAPINSKI are sold out and the
wraps are huge on what they have shown to date.

We have only a
few shares remaining in our
filly ex TINGU (FR) with CIARON MAHER and DAVID EUSTACE.
Our JUSTIFY x TINGU Filly under saddle
Our filly is (1) a great type and has a (2) huge black type family supporting her and (3) is being trained by the Leading Stable in Victoria and runner-up stable by winners in Australia.
(4) Huge residual, and (5) huge racing upside, by (6) a First Crop Sire that is Leading the way in the Northern Hemisphere, and the filly is with (7) the best trainers in Australia.
Our Filly's trainers - David Eustace & Ciaron Maher
The MAHER / EUSTACE stables trained 321 Winners from 1,612 runners at a Strike Rate of 19.9% in the 2021-22 Racing Season which concluded yesterday.
To put this into perspective, the
Chris Waller stable had the most wins with
352 Winners from 2,313 runners at a
Strike Rate of 15.2%.
So, whilst
Waller did train 31 more winners than Maher & Eustace what must be taken into consideration is that fact
the Waller stable had 701 more runners!
In Victoria, the MAHER/EUSTACE team trained 276 Winners from 1,314 runners at a massive 21.0% Strike Rate. Whilst runner-up was the Price/Kent team that trained 127 winners from 689 runners at a Strike Rate of 18.4%.
It's these statistics that reveal why we give so many of our Dynamic Syndications horses to the CIARON MAHER Racing Stables to polish into gems for our owners.
JUSTIFY is a "four-legged" excitement machine!
JUSTIFY eyes off his namesake and the New Ferrari that will be given to the owners of his first Gr1 Winner
He was known as a “Ferrari” as a racehorse and the first of his progeny to win a Gr1 in Australia “will win a New Ferrari.”
