A well-deserved victory was achieved by Dynamic Syndications 4yo gelding JUSTIFIABLY when the son of JUSTIFY x SAVAPINSKI (Savabeel) returned to the sport after a spell and achieved Dynamic Syndications 40th Race Win for this 2024-25 season, when he proved too tough, too strong, for his maiden class peers over 1509m at Port Macquarie in Race 4 Fastplast Building Supplies Maiden Plate.

JUSTIFIABLY breaks Maiden in tough display
JUSTIFIABLY (59.0kgs) ($5) defeated TEMPLE BELLS (56.5kgs) ($10) by 0.2 Len, with EVERYREADY BUNNY (59.0kgs) 0.82 Len third.
Our Jason Deamer trained galloper prior to a spell had recorded 8 starts: 0-3-2 and after this victory at his 9th race start, is the beginning of what is hoped to be many wins this preparation.
The first foal son of Dynamic Syndications Stakes Winning mare SAVAPINSKI, our gelding has always shown talent but has just taken time to mature mentally and strengthen into his stayer's frame, just as his mum did.
1509m first-up was always going to be testing as our galloper is bred to “stick like chewing gum to a blanket,” so 1509m was considered well short of his much-needed 2000m+ range.
This race was to begin building the foundations to get out to 2000m where he will be far more competitive. Another skilful ride by Ben Looker bought up our Dynamic / Deamer / Looker Double, having won race 1 earlier with SAGAPONACK.
This time, we anticipated that JUSTIFIABLY would struggle with the faster early tempo, but we were wanting to be as close as possible to the speed, whilst keeping our horse in a rhythm.
Ben could not have ridden any better. He pushed forward early to settle 5th of 11 runners, some 4 lengths off the speed, but was trapped wide before the field dropped the tempo after 400m and Ben was able to work across to be in the running line one off the paint.
Passing the 500m he peeled JUSTIFIABLY 3 deep and moved up to eyeball the leaders before working to they lead with 200m to run.

However, he is not a sprinter, he doesn't have that turn of foot, and a few were coming after him.

Justifiably determined to succeed
Ben asked the ultimate effort and JUSTIFIABLY dug deep to fight off the runner-up over the final 50m to be a head in front as the camera flashed.
To win the way he did with just one 920m trial under his belt on a Heavy track where he finished last beaten 17 lengths, this Win at Port Macquarie was a terrific effort.
JOB DONE!

SAVAPINSKI winning the Gr2 VRC Matriarch Stakes 2000m
The fact he is the first foal and son of our wonderful mare SAVAPINSKI is even more rewarding to our team.

JUSTIFIABLY returning to the Winners Circle
It was wonderful work by JASON DEAMER to take two Dynamic gallopers to the sport and for both to break their maidens.
Both horses are displaying a class level well above country grade racing however both were sent there to do a job for their owners and importantly, gain confidence along with much needed foundation fitness for deeper in the preparation.
Whilst we had anticipated the possibility they could both win, it's always a relief when they do put their first photo on the wall.
