ALTERCATION Sizzles at Muswellbrook to Record Another WIN
ALTERCATION Sizzles at Muswellbrook to Record Another WIN

At
Muswellbrook
on Monday 7 October, just 10 minutes after
winning at Warwick Farm with
HARD TO SAY
,
our trainer Jason Deamer and Team Dynamic
were back in the
winner’s circle.
This time
the team were watching from the Winning Owners Room at Warwick Farm
as our
4yo mare
ALTERCATION
, ridden by
Blake Spriggs
, scored impressively in quick time.
Altercation
was having her third race start for the preparation and her fourth career race start, winning first-up before a good effort when finishing 4th second-up.
Here at Muswellbrook, she contested
Race 6 the Pursehouse Rural Class 1 Hcp over 1000m carrying 55.0kgs at $4.60
and sitting off the speed, she
finished strongly
to win by 1.09 lengths over Willingale (57.0kgs) ($8.0) with Beyond My Ken (56.0kgs) ($3.0 fav) 1.45 lengths in third in a slick time of 56.95 and a last 600m in 34.97.
ALTERCATION is a 4yo Chestnut Mare by AMERICAN PHAROAH (USA) from IN TIMES OF WAR.
Her
record
now reads
4
starts:
2
wins and
2
fourths and
$25,700.
She has won on a Heavy over
1005m
and on a Good over
1000m.
As the gates clanged back,
ALTERCATION
missed the kick which is never ideal especially over 1000m.
She came out a clear length last by of the 10 runners from barrier 2 as they scampered away from the machine.
It took her the first 100m to catch the pack and start to improve her position. Passing the 800m the field had broken into two divisions with the leader Willingale humming along,
ALTERCATION
was sitting 4 lengths back at the head of the second division.
Passing the 600m the field began to pack up and
ALTERCATION
slipped up a length closer onto the heels of the leader, one off the fence, then from the 500m Blake started to angle out 3-deep to get around the tiring horses in front.
The riders wanted nothing to do with the fence and were all trying to be at the centre of the track or wider.
Blake continued
ALTERCATION
angling run to the outside and turned for home
6-wide in the middle of the track
, spotting Willingale to her inside 2 lengths as they balanced for the run home.
From the 400m to the 200m Blake Spriggs worked up
ALTERCATION
to eyeball the leader, before hitting the
“go-button”
and forging to the lead over Willingale.
From the 200m to the 50m
ALTERCATION
put a length gap on the field and then Blake allowed her to ease down the final 50m to win with authority is slick time defeating Willingale by 1.09 lengths with the $3.0 fav Beyond My Ken back in third place.
JOB DONE!

“Willingale is being tackled by Altercation out wide, Altercation there under the 150m went to the lead over Willingale, Beyond My Ken then Thundering Soul. Altercation in front over Willingale, Beyond My Ken battling away, but its Altercation in front and Altercation wins over Willingale, Beyond My Ken and Thundering Soul.”

“Too good for them there, Jason Deamer gets a double. One in Sydney now one in Muswellbrook, this is Altercation winning out in the centre of the track with Blake Spriggs on board, $4.60 and $1:50 and wins for the second time today.”

added:
“Yeah well done to the connections of Altercation she’s done an excellent job out of Maiden Company last start and has backed that up with another great performance again.”
Congratulations to the Dynamic Ownership Team that race ALTERCATION
