ATOMIC FORCE true success is owed to trainer Darren Smith who took
him from a unsound and under performing, provincial Class 2 handicapper
to a dual Group 1 Winner.
ATOMIC FORCE - Winning the Slickpix Stales at Caulfield
ATOMIC FORCE winning the STC Maurice McCarten Stakes
Under Darren's expert care ATOMIC FORCE won first up for his new trainer in May 2010 and went on to record 9 of the horse's 11 wins and extra earnings of just on $800,000.

Atomic Force - Shane Treweek and Darren Smith after the NZ Railway Stakes Win
Darren started the horse on 32 occasions for 9 wins, 5 seconds, 4 thirds and 4 fourths. Also Darren trained the horse for 8 of his 9 Black Type results.
Unfortunately we never truly saw the brilliance of ATOMIC FORCE as a racehorse, after suffering injury as a 2yo and again as a 3yo. These injuries he carried throughout his racing career.
However Darren patched Tommy up the best he could and the horse's courage did the rest.
Then after a rough and tumble race in the Gr1 Telegraph in NZ in January 2012 where he was badly checked when a close up 2nd, he suffered another injury during the run which he simply could not overcome.
ATOMIC FORCE - Injury to his off fore sustained in Gr1 Telegraph
ultimately cost TOMMY his racing career
Horses can't race forever and the time had come to retire our courageous and honest horse who had been so good to everybody involved with him.
He gave his owners the ultimate dream. He was a big part of their lives for the 7 years that they owned and raced him.
HAPPY OWNERS at Galaxy Presentation
Another Dynamic TOMMY Win - At Warwick Farm
He gave them success at the highest level twice, he gave them moments of joy and despair, moments of notoriety, tears of happiness, moments of anxiety at times and incredibly successful financial returns both through prizemoney and generosity of the bookmaker fraternity.
Simply for 7 years "Tommy" was an inspiration to everyone who was involved with him.
