DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS were not the only people excited for the return of dual Newcastle horse of the year ATOMIC FORCE when he trialled yesterday at Broadmeadow. NBN (Nine) News were there on hand to do a feature story on the multiple Gr1 winner as he returned to the track under the watchful eye of leading Newcastle and Dynamic trainer, DARREN SMITH. It seems that not only the racing public but the whole Newcastle area was wondering what their star attraction had been up to over the last few months.
Being his first trial, ATOMIC FORCE was not out there for a gut buster rather a nice and easy trial that would switch hit on and enable him to have a good blow. Despite never getting out of third gear, ATOMIC FORCE went on to win the trial in comfortable fashion much to the delight of the interested onlookers, Dynamic Syndications, jockey JOSH PARR and trainer DARREN SMITH.
Where ever ATOMIC FORCE goes there seems to be some form of media attention following not too far behind. Be it various racing journalists or the mainstream media as was the case yesterday, Atomic Force always tries to please his fans. Since winning the Gr1 Railway Stakes in New Zealand on New Years Day of 2012, ATOMIC FORCE has had a few injury problems but we are glad to see him bright and ready for racing again.

Yesterday piece (which can be viewed below) gives a great insight to where ATOMIC FORCE is currently at as well as being able to see the concluding stages of the trial.
All signs yesterday were extremely positive with the entire DYNAMIC team ecstatic with the 7yo sprinters’ performance. Jockey JOSH PARR and trainer DARREN SMITH rung Dynamic’s Managing Director Dean Watt immediately after the trial to explain that they could not be happier with the way the horse had trialled.
“It was just a working gallop, nothing too strenuous but he really handled it nicely, pulled up really well and I’m very pleased with the horse,” said a beaming JOSH PARR to NBN report Matt Wallace.
Atomic Force looked in sensational order during Monday's trials
Josh also explained to Dean that the horse was in great order for this early stage of the preparation. He was wrapped with how he went and the horse gave him “a really good feel”.
DARREN SMITH was also noticeably happy on camera about the performance of the dual Gr1 winning sprinter with the veteran horseman happy to take things “one step at a time”.
“He’s been the anchor in our stable for a couple of years now and hopefully there are still some miles in those legs of his,” Smith stated after the trial.
“There is a couple of lead up races (we are already looking at),”
“We will sit down after he has had a couple of trials and go from there.”
Although ATOMIC FORCE is still a trial or two away from heading back to the races, DYNAMIC have already started to map out a careful plan for him over the Autumn carnival. With top class sprinters like Black Caviar set to go around this Autumn, ATOMIC FORCE will have his work cut out but he is giving positive early signs. DARREN SMITH looks to have got the Award winning sprinter in great order and we are hopeful to once again see his best this preparation.
Along with ATOMIC FORCE, the DARREN SMITH – JOSH PARR combination trialled a number of horses for DYNAMIC including the unraced CURFEW who won her trail, honest grey sprinter SUPERIOR INSTINCT and the stakes placed MIDNIGHT AT ASCOT. All three trialled in lovely fashion with EXCELLENT POINT also winning a trial for DYNAMIC and DARREN SMITH.
Midnight at Ascot coming off the track yesterday
We are eagerly anticipating the return of ATOMIC FORCE as well as all the DARREN SMITH horses which trialled at Newcastle yesterday. At this early stage, Dynamic looks like they are going to be in for a big Autumn carnival with plenty heading back to the track in good order.
