AVION FURY as a yearling at the Magic Millions after we purchased him
Raced in the stable colours of trainer Laurie Parker,
Dynamic Syndications purchased the yearling at the Magic Millions from Vinery Stud (as agent) and the
ALMIGHTY RACING Team liked the colt and
purchased 100% of him.
AVION FURY as a yearling going through early training
Jumping away cleanly from barrier 5, Jeff Penza was able to push forward and worked across tracking the leading duo for 150m. He was able to position
AVION FURY one pair back on the fence getting a lovely trail on the rail behind the leaders in fourth position. As the field straightened for the run home, Jeff was locked in a pocket behind the leaders with a horse at his girth, unable to gain momentum.
As the field past the 300m, the $1.95 favourite Midland (56.5kgs) whom
AVION FURY (57.5kgs) was tracking, broke clear and that gave Jeff Penza some galloping room to go after the leader, who was now two lengths in front.
At the 200m,
AVION FURY was still 1.5 lengths off the favourite, who was full of running and looking like he had a mortgage on the race.
At the 100m,
AVION FURY had only managed to close the gap to half a length but the pair had broken clear of their peers.
AVION FURY gets the upper hand
With 25 metres remaining
AVION FURY got on terms with the leader and despite the favourite trying hard,
AVION FURY showed more courage and determination to be too strong over the concluding stages to post a tough, hard fought 0.32 length win over Midland with Brook Hill a further 1.43 lengths away in third.
AVION FURY arrives in the Winners Circle
It was a good training effort by Lauri, a quality horsewoman with a small stable at Warwick Farm and it was a determined ride by Jeff who threw everything at
AVION FURY to reel in the leader.
Congratulations to all !
