AWESOME TYCOON Victory Records a Dynamic DEAMER Double at Quirindi

Our
19th Race Win
for the new season and our
909th Race win overall
was recorded on Monday afternoon thanks to a
winning double
at Quirindi when our
Newcastle trainer
JASON DEAMER
took two
Dynamic Syndications
horses to the races and
they
both
won
impressively.
Having earlier
won race 5 with
ROSE WATER
breaking the class record on debut, we only had to wait until
Race 7
to witness
our honest galloper
AWESOME TYCOON
go through the motions to score a dominant win in Race 7 the
GRINNERS DIGGERS
Benchmark 66 Hcp over 1450m.
AWESOME LAD winning Race 7
Second-up for the preparation, this
son of Written Tycoon from Sensible Lady
has now
won
3
races from
8
starts and
two
placings.
A versatile horse that is a better chaser than leader, and want’s 1600m or further to show his best, the 1450m second up looked ideal on paper as it had some cheap speed on paper but at scratchings time the leaders came out and we were left with a field of no pace which looked a dilemma. We were extremely confident of winning but still needed a little luck in what would be a tactical race.
We wanted to get a trail behind something, anything, and wait until turning for home.
Ash Morgan
our rider was adamant the horse would win off trackwork and was adamant that the fence was the place to be. That was fine as long as he didn’t wait too long and get caught in a pocket.
Our horse was smashed in late betting, firming from
$2.20 into a
$1.70
when the gates crashed back.
From barrier 1
AWESOME TYCOON
was quickly into stride and took the lead holding the fence for the first 100m before Elusive Babbz went forward and found the fence and wanted to drop anchor causing Ash to grab hold and settle
AWESOME TYCOON
two lengths further back.
Fortunately, at this point the rider of Enthralled wasn’t happy with the walking pace and scooted around the outside to take up the running, putting two lengths over the second-place runner and passing the 1000m the field had settled into position with Enthralled leading over 2 lengths Elusive Babbz and then Oakfield Warpaint one off the fence and a length back to
AWESOME TYCOON
fourth, five lengths off the leader.
As the field swung for home the leader rolled off the fence a horse and a half.
During this time Ash was holding
AWESOME TYCOON
under a tight hold to navigate the tight downhill run at the start of the straight.
Once balanced, Ash pushed the go-button and
AWESOME TYCOON
dashed through and at the 200m had swept to the front and exploded away to score by a widening 2 lengths under hands and heels to the camera.
AWESOME TYCOON
officially won by
2.06 Lengths
over Magic Flyer with Hardyo in third spot
2.66 Lengths away
in a time of 1:27.65, with a Last 600m: 33.71. 1st Place $13,950.
JOB DONE!
AWESOME TYCOON
5yo Brown Gelding D.O.B: 15-Sep-2019
by WRITTEN TYCOON from SENSIBLE LADY (USA)
Summary: 8-3:0:2 Prizemoney: $45,775
Min/Max-Dist-Win: 1400/1600 1st Up: 2:0-0-1 2nd Up: 2:2-0-0
Track: 1:1-0-0 Dist: 4:2-0-1 Track/Dist: 1:1-0-0

Racecaller with 450m left to race:
“Now they are starting to bunch as they come towards the point of the corner, 450m left ago and Enthralled on the inside leads narrowly heading up on the outsider Elusive Babbz. Chiming in is Oakfield Warpaint and Magic Flight the outside, and they were followed by Hardyo on the inside.
“So at the 300 metres mark now Elusive Babbz looms up to Enthralled.
Awesome Tycoon
along the fence and Magic Flight down the outside. At the 200 metres
Awesome Tycoon
got to the top from Magic Flyer trying hard, but
Awesome Tycoon!
Awesome Tycoon
wins by 2 1/2 from Magic Flyers second, third home Hardyo then followed by Elusive Babbz in next spot with Enthralled and Oakfield Warpaint.
Sky Channel Commentator Gavin Carmody:
“Yeah too good! Once the run presented itself,
AWESOME TYCOON
was driven up along the rail. Both he and Hardyo went for the same run,
AWESOME TYCOON
got it and goes on to win, giving Ash Morgan and Jason Deamer a winning double on the day. Magic Flyer out wide will get up and run second, Hardyo has run his usual honest race Elusive Babbz will get up and run 4th. $2.20 into $1.70 at the jump and was far too good.”
Michael Wallace Sky Commentator:
“Yeah he was the only one who you wanted to be on in the run. He was travelling double time coming to the home corner and you were just holding your breath on waiting for that to run to appear. There was only a narrow gap down to the inside and it was a case of whether
AWESOME TYCOON
would get there first or Hardyo. Both horses seem to be travelling OK. In the nick of time, Ash Morgan was able to duck down to the inside, find clear air, and the horse did the rest. That's three wins now from eight career starts and Jason Deamer’s had a nice day out of the races.”
Gavin Carmody agreed:
“Indeed he has. This fellow, a son of Written Tycoon from a Street Sense mare, wins for the third time at start #8 and Jason Deamer the winning trainer with a double on the day about to come over and join us. With
AWESOME TYCOON
from barrier one winning in 1:27.65 and 33.71.
“Well it was a needle eye opening and the Welshman (jockey Ash Morgan) wasn't afraid to take it.”
Jason Deamer laughed and said:
“Yeah, luckily for him! Yeah, it was. You know it sounds silly but he's still maturing. He’s still learning what it's all about, he’s been very slow maturing and when he hits the front, he doesn't really know what to do. He's a much better chaser and I know because the second was out very wide, he wouldn’t have been able to see him, but no, he travelled well, they probably went a bit slow for him mid race. He poked up on the inside and just need a little bit of luck and he got through there.”
Gavin added:
“Yeah, once he fully learns what it's all about, he might be half alright this horse.”
Jason responded:
“That's right, because he didn't actually have his first start until a 4-year-old I think. He had a couple of trials early then he got injured and Dynamic Syndications gave him a very good break and he got a lot of rehab work down at Bimbadeen Park. They did all the work down there with him, and now the Owners are starting to benefit from their patients.
Gavin Carmody concluded:
“Good job mate well done. That's a pretty good day at the office for him indeed. Numbers 3-8-4-11 so 33.71 the last 600m.
AWESOME TYCOON
defeats Magic Flyer, Hardyo in third spot and 11 Elusive Babbz finishes 4th. 2 lengths by 1/2 a length the margins, 2 by a 1/2.
“So, he was clearly best backed $2.20 into $1.70 at the jump. Brings up a double for both trainer and rider. Ash will come over momentarily here to see what he made of that. Ash you were trucking, it was a matter of getting the run. It came and you drove him through, and he was too good.”
Ash said:
“Yeah he was good. Adrian (Layt – Elusive Babbz) came up very positive and then he handed-up, so just let him go away but it was fine. Enthralled was able to take up slack then from the half-mile and I travelled really well into it. I didn't really have thought bar to go to the inside. I know they come out a bit today, but I don't think there was anything wrong with the inside.
“It was a little bit tight. I think we both had to think about it for a few strides but when we got the clear air, he let down well. He's a horse that’s shown a bit, and it’s good to get him here; a win and confidence and he can go on. He’s still a bit of a baby but he done it well today.”
Gavin Carmody concluded;
“Well said, well-done! Ash Morgan taking out Race 7 on the programme.
“There were some good bets landed there
AWESOME TYCOON
. He's won with a leg in the air. That was pretty comprehensive victory, and a good-looking type isn't he this five-year-old son of Written Tycoon.”
CONGRATULATIONS to our trainer JASON DEAMER and jockey ASH MORGAN for their winning double on our two runners and another Big CONGRATULATIONS to our wonderful Loyal Team of Dynamic Owners that race AWESOME TYCOON:
Dynamic Syndications Racing, Mr P J Woollett, Mrs A T Woollett, Romulus Racing, Miss A J Hayes, Mr J A Roberts, Mr D I Hollyman, Dr M G Purcell, Mr S B Troughton, Mr S R Freeman, Mr A M Bowe, Mr R J Burdon, Mr M J Brennan, Mr P J McGuire, Dynamic No.126, Dynamic No.127, Dynamic No.128
It just looked perfect race for him.
It wasn't a hard decision by any stretch scratching from Kembla Grange on Saturday to wait and go there. He looked so well placed and so well treated under the weight scale. He just needed an ounce of luck and in the end, he only got half an ounce, but he made the rest of the luck himself and he went on to win very impressively.
He ran very good time and did it with a leg in the air, winning by two lengths eased up running away from them.
It's a fairly impressive effort, so he's quite clearly come back a bigger, stronger, better horse this time in and it was a really good tough effort from him there.
He had to be brave to go though the gap on the fence, up the inside and he did. He toughed it out nicely.
And then as soon as he got clear galloping room, he really put them away and embarrassed his opposition to win in good style and that certainly won't be his last one of the preparation.
It was a dominant display and a really good effort from him and of course
JASON DEAMER and ASH MORGAN.
He'll come back closer to town now. We have found a target race in the programme for him in a few weeks’ time that we would like to try and aim him towards.
Well done, a truly dominant display from our horse and we know our owners have had to be patient with him, but he's always been a horse that shown really nice talent and has been worth waiting for and hopefully this is the preparation that he can knuckle down and show us his best. Congrats again.
Onwards and Upwards – Forever Forwards !
