It’s always a nice vote of confidence for Owners when their horse goes to the trials for the first time and held together, trialled so well that the horse is noted by the commentators as the
BEST of the morning.
Last
Tuesday 26 April at Rosehill, that’s how the owners of
Dynamic 2yo filly ARGIE BARGIE (Snitzel x Laurinel Argie) are coping with the emotional butterflies of seeing their fabulous filly trial in slick time.
ARGIE BARGIE
In Heat 5 of the morning, a 2yo Fillies trial full of regally bred individuals,
ARGIE BARGIE didn’t run in the placings. However it was the way she trialled that was the talking point. Jumped quickly, led in quick time under double wraps and with rider Tim Clark putting on the hand-brake at the 200m was strangled all the way to the line to be beaten just a long head fourth in a blanket finish.
Release the brake and she wins by plenty !
ARGIE BARGIE will have a second trial in 2 weeks and then heads to the races. Importantly the filly is out of a Prime Ministers Cup winner and is a full sister to
RUSTIC MELODY who wants an Oaks trip. So for our filly to show up in a 900m trial, she is exciting to contemplate as the trips get longer.
Another Gerald Ryan trained DYNAMIC horse to trial was 3yo filly THORSBORNE who also went particularly well. Having a hit out prior to returning to the races in the next 2 weeks, this filly was a repeat of
ARGIE BARGIE. Jumped quickly, Led, then a double grip to the line in the fastest time of the day. A filly that is a noted fresh horse, Gerald has her well advanced to perform well when she resumed.
THORSBORNE
We wish our owners of both fillies the best of luck in their upcoming events.
