Dynamic Syndications recorded our
38th Win for the current season and our
692nd Overall Race Win when the
Jason Deamer trained, magnificent looking individual
JAZIRAT - a 4yo Bay Mare by
SHOOTING TO WIN from ALZIRA (NZ) returned from a spell in commanding fashion to score a
comfortable victory in a field of 12 runners at Muswellbrook on Thursday.
JAZIRAT wearing a black cap and BAXTER in the Red Cap produce a Dynamic Quinella
This result was the
26th Race Win for the DYNAMIC / DEAMER combination and our
10th Win together in this current season.
JAZIRAT became Dynamic Syndications 248th Individual Winner from 271 Individual Runners which continues our
amazing strike rate of
91.5% Winners : Runners.
Given a pearl of a ride by Blake Spriggs who replaced declared rider Christian Reith who was indisposed, Blake gave our horse a terrific steer throughout to claim Race 4 the TAB.COM.AU Maiden Plate 1500m.
On a Heavy 8 surface, she ran a Time of 1:33.75 with a Last 600m: 0:36.63.
JAZIRAT ($7.50) defeated another Dynamic Syndication runner, our Richard and Michael Freedman trained BAXTER ($4.80) (3yo gelding Scissor Kick x Miss Bax) who was having just his second career start and he worked home stylishly to finish 1.66 length behind
JAZIRAT with the $2.30 favourite Still In Fashion a further length back in third spot.
Naturally the Team at Dynamic are delighted that we have been able to quinella the race and
congratulations to our supporters who backed the quinella which paid
$21.30.
JAZIRAT when we purchased her
JAZIRAT was purchased by Dynamic Syndications as a tried horse from
Godolphin last June and she was having her third race start for our ownership team and her first run for the preparation.
At her first run for us she finished fourth by 1.1 length at Gosford and then missed the kick over 1800m at Hawkesbury and we sent her for a spell.
This win demonstrated the outstanding horse husbandry of JASON DEAMER.
This was
JAZIRAT’s first run for Jason. We had transferred the mare to his stables at the start of the preparation. A noted difficult mare at the barriers where she had developed a habit of standing flat footed as the gates opened, Jason has worked on the mare and at her most recent trial and again here in this race,
JAZIRAT has not shown that tendency and has jumped away cleanly.
Bred to stick like chewing gum to a blanket, to have her forward enough in fitness to win with such authority, first up from a spell, over a demanding 1500m on a Heavy Track was a wonderful result.
As the gates crashed back
JAZIRAT was a lot better, whilst still a fraction slow by about a neck, but Blake Spriggs knew exactly what we wanted from the mare and he drove her forward, to sit up with the leading division after the first 150m.
Our other runner
BAXTER (Andrew Gibbons) was also well away and had lobbed into the one out / one back spot in fourth with
JAZIRAT caught 3 deep on the outside of
BAXTER.
From the 1200m to the 1000m
BAXTER attacked for the lead 3 deep on the outside of the favourite Still In Fashion, but that horse refused to yield and started to work hard to keep
BAXTER outside it.
Whilst this was unfolding Blake Spriggs went forward to stalk
BAXTER. Quickly Andrew Gibbons summed up that he would need to work too hard to cross, so handed up and slotted back into the one / one spot and by this stage, Blake was happy to sit wide on
JAZIRAT because the mare was travelling well in a rhythm on the heavy track.
Approaching the 700m, Blake had noted that the favourite had worked hard fending off
BAXTER, so he rolled forward to sit at the girth of STILL IN FASHION as they passed the 600m.
Then between the 600m to the 400m Blake reported
JAZIRAT was cruising, so he elected to eyeball STILL IN FASHION to see if that runner was full of running or starting to struggle.
As they passed the 400m on the point of the turn, STILL IN FASHION was being asked to extend and being ridden along and Blake said he knew he had that horse covered, so it was just that something chasing that might catch her.
As they straightened for the run home, Blake angled out to the centre of the track and then hit the go button and
JAZIRAT responded perfectly, kicking half a length in front of the favourite who was trying hard to rally, with
BAXTER 3 lengths back starting to give chase.
Passing the 200m mark
JAZIRAT was in control and started to lengthen in her stride.
Blake was in command and was able to give
JAZIRAT a soft time over the final 40m whist
BAXTER was doing his best work late to run into second place and reduce the margin to 1.6 length.
We are delighted for
BLAKE SPRIGGS who has been a loyal part of our Dynamic Team for many years that he was able to win on
JAZIRAT for
JASON DEAMER who was his boss when Blake was an apprentice.
Equally we are thrilled for
JASON DEAMER who keeps the winners flowing for us.
