The Undefeated World Champion Racehorse JUSTIFY (USA) is the USA’s Leading First Crop Sire and he continued to build his resume as a sire in the Northern Hemisphere when three (3) of his sons and a daughter performed with distinction on the track last weekend.

JUSTIFY sired a New Stakes Winner, A New Winner, and 2 New Stakes Placegetters.

From 57 Individual Runners (2yo’s), JUSTIFY is the sire of 23 Individual Winners of 27 Race Wins.

He has also Sired 17 Individual Placed Runners. That’s 40 of 57 have run in First 3 = 70.2%

He has Sired 5 Stakes Winners (8.8%), 5 Stakes Placegetters (8.8%), and 2 Stakes Performers (4th)

CHAMPIONS DREAM Wins Gr3 Nashua Stakes for JUSTIFY

CHAMPIONS DREAM winning the Gr3 Nashua S.,

CHAMPIONS DREAM (2c Justify x Dancinginherdreams, by Tapit) gave his Triple Crown winning sire a fourth group stakes winner claiming the Group 3 Nashua Stakes when leading home a JUSTIFY first and third places.

Racing in the tightly packed field, Champions Dream raced in fourth close behind the leader in the one-mile dirt race. Racing wide throughout, he went even wider as he entered the straight to dig deep and chase down the leaders. It took nearly the length of the straight but Champions Dream was able to strong to forge clear in the shadow of the post and win by three-quarters of a length with another Justify son Prove Right (2c Justify x Joe’sgoldenholiday, by Harlan’s Holiday) a gallant third.

A $425,000 March 2-Year-Old purchase the grey is trained by Danny Gargan and was bred by John Oxley.

“He’s only run three times,” Gargan said. “The second time he had a really bad trip, too. Today, he learned how to overcome it. Today is the first time he learned how to finish. First time out, he won pulled up and didn’t know how to finish. You don’t if they’re going to do it at that level and run home until they’re forced too. He figured it out.”

The colt will winter in Florida with Gargan saying he’ll likely point for a race down there.

Champions Dream is out of Group 2 winner Dancinginherdreams, who is a half-sister to stakes winner Doubled and Group 3-placed Good Pick Nick. Doubled also produced stakes-placed Honorifique. Another of Dancinginherdream’s half-sisters produced Group 2 winner and Group 1-placed Texas Wedge. This is also the family of Irish champion Due Diligence.

Justify now has sired 5 stakes winners, four at Group level, and 5 stakes placed and 2 stakes performers.

He leads all North American first crop sires. He is also the sire of 23 winners.

BERTINELLI Latest Winner For Justify

BERTINELLI (Purple) winning at Dundalk (Ireland).

Justify’s worldwide success continued on Friday 05/11/2022 when BERTINELLI (2c Justify x Together Forever, by Galileo) broke his maiden at Dundalk in Ireland.

Making his second career start, the colt sat in just behind the leaders from the start of the one-mile race.

When Seamie Heffernan asked him for more, Bertinelli responded and took over the lead in the final furlong. He had to face a challenge for the lead late but was able to stay in front, winning by a neck in the end.

“I'm a huge fan of the Justify’s. [Bertinell’s] very weak and he still has the ability to run well and win,” Heffernan told Irishracing.com.

“I think he's got a lot of potential. If he hadn't got struck in behind, I suspect he would have been very impressive.”

Bred by Orpendale, Chelston, and Wynatt, the juvenile is trained by Aidan O’Brien for the Coolmore partners and Westerberg.

Bertinelli is out of the Group 1 winning Together Forever, the dam of multiple group winner Military Style and two other stakes performers. Together Forever is a full sister to Group I Epsom Oaks winner Forever Together and stakes placed Do You Love Me and is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Lord Shanakill. This is also the family of Group 1 winners Spanish Fern, Hearts of Fire, and Heatseeker.

Together Forever also had a Justify colt last year and an Uncle Mo filly in 2022.

Justify’s 23 winners, five stakes winners and five stakes placegetters and 2 stakes performers, and one Group 1 placegetter and 1 Group 1 stakes performer have Justify leading the way as first crop sire in the USA.
