Arrowfield Stallions Dynamic Sales Results

Arrowfield Stud produced history-making results with the Stud’s Inglis Easter draft at Riverside Stables and the smiles are as equally broad for the results achieved by the progeny of the Stud’s stallions with all other vendors.

Overall, 99 (90.8%) of 109 Arrowfield Stud based sire’s progeny sold at Easter for an average of $451,818. It was headed by eight (8) $1 million+ yearlings; 5 by Snitzel, 2 by Dundeel and 1 by Not A Single Doubt.

Dynamic Syndications purchased four (4) yearlings this season by stallions that stand at Arrowfield Stud.

SNITZEL

The Inglis sale’s Top Price was achieved by Arrowfield’s $2.25 million colt by Snitzel ex Response, bought by Tom Magnier of Coolmore Australia.

Snitzel’s Average Price across 24 lots was $717,708 with a Median of $450,000 which is the highest of the sire’s remarkable career to date, and reflects the superlative racetrack results he continues to generate.

Highlights of the Champion Sire Snitzel’s current 2021/22 season worldwide are, three (3) Group 1 winners: In The Congo, Wild Ruler & Yearning among 16 Individual Stakes Winners, that have won 23 Stakes Races this season, whilst there are another 21 individual Stakes Performers.

This is the Era of SNITZEL, he has sired 120 Stakes Winners and the 2022 Inglis Easter Sale-topper, one of only six stallions in Australian history to win four consecutive Premierships, and the only three-time Champion 2YO Sire in the past two decades.

Dynamic Syndications purchased a cracking Colt and STALLION PROSPECT by SNITZEL ex MARCIA PROBA at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale. He is a ¾ brother to Gr1 Winner SWEET IDEA and Gr2 Winner SHOWTIME to be trained by CIARON MAHER & DAVID EUSTACE.

DUNDEEL

Twenty-eight (28) of Dundeel’s 31 offered lots sold at Easter, averaging $368,750 with a Median of $280,000 which is just over 6-times his conception service fee. It was the first time his yearlings broke the $1 million mark. Two of his yearlings recorded this level. They include his $1.7 million daughter of Stay With Me, and the $1 million colt out of Honesty Prevails.

However, what was even more interesting was the results for Dundeel yearlings out of Redoute’s Choice broodmares.

There were 5 yearlings were out of Redoute’s Choice mares at Easter all 5 Sold.

They grossed $2,140,000 with an Average $428,000 and a median of $250,000 and sold up to $1million.

SHALAA

Shalaa’s largest third-crop draft was sold at Magic Millions, where all 26 entries sold, averaging $205,692 and recording a top price of $500,000, paid for Segenhoe’s Set For Fame filly.

His 3 Inglis Easter yearlings sold for an average of $253,333, and the top-priced Shalaa was the $300,000 filly out of Tuusula.

Shalaa’s two crops have so far produced 13 Stakes Horses being 5 Stakes Winners and 8 Stakes Placegetters, of which nine (9) Australian stakes performers (3 Stakes Winners and 6 stakes placed) including three Group-winning juveniles SEVEN VEILS, SHAQUERO, SEMILLION and with 32 winners to date, he holds the No. 2 spot by that measure on the Second Season Sires’ list behind ~ Capitalist.

Dynamic Syndications purchased a lovely Colt by SHALAA ex DARBY’S BID at the Magic Millions Sale. Sold by Gerry Harvey, he has purchased back in for a 25% Share such was his admiration for the colt he bred. The colt is heading to Rosehill to be trained by GERALD RYAN and STERLING ALEXIOU and to be raced in co-ownership with Gerry.

THE AUTUMN SUN

The Autumn Sun’s first-crop yearlings have been warmly received throughout the 2022 sales season, beginning with a $383,929 average and Median of $310,000 with a $950,000 Top Price at Magic Millions.

His 22 Easter yearlings were sold for a total of $6.945 million with an average of $315,682, a Median of $300,000 and a top price of $750,000 for Torryburn Stud’s colt out of Axiomatic.

Overall, 76 The Autumn Sun yearlings have sold across six sales for an average of $301,398 and a Median of $200,000 which is a healthy 4.3 times his first season service fee.
