We are now
eight months of the way through the 2020-21 Racing Season and at this point of the season we can have a
meaningful look at the stats behind the
Australian Sires Premierships and see which stallion's are doing the job and which are not performing as anticipated.
Also, it’s a timely snapshot prior to heading into the
Easter Yearling Sales and before the big prizemoney is disbursed over the
Autumn Carnival, incorporating The Championships, where a stallion may have one horse that could potentially skewer the data.

It’s interesting to note that currently in the
2YO Sires Premiership, the
Top 3 Sires are all
First Crop Sires and
4 out of the Top 5 are First Crop Sires with
Fastnet Rock the odd-man-out currently sitting in
4th spot.
As a
First Crop sire with
five (5) or more runners, it’s the
Two (2) USA Freshman Sires leading the way with
Frosted at a Winners:Runners Strike Rate of
55% (
5 Winners: 9 Runners) just ahead of
American Pharoah at
50% recording
3 Winners from 6 Runners.
