They saying goes
“patience is a virtue” and that was the case on
Day 2 of the NZ Bloodstock National Yearling Sale as Team Dynamic had to wait until the penultimate Lot of the Day, to buy what we came to NZ to secure and we achieved our goal at what can only be described as a
“WOW FACTOR” Bargain Price.
In scenes that resembled more a ghost town than a yearling sale with just 30 minutes left on Day 2, buyers had left the complex in droves with many overseas buyers heading to the airport and local buyers avoiding the peak hour traffic.
So, there were very few people observing the sale from the stands as the professionals remaining at the complex wandered in-and-out on a lot-by-lot basis.
So, when
Lot 469 entered the ring, there was less than a handful to observe what was on type and on ratings, a sensational
SAVABEEL Brown Filly from the mare BINGO (by O’REILLY).
When she head into the auction ring, 90 seconds later she left, as the hammer fell to an amazingly light bid from
Adam Watt at $110,000 that wasn’t challenged.
We couldn’t believe our good fortune, as we still had $50,000 left in the tank to reach our ceiling value on her of $160,000.
After many years of buying their quality horses at the sales and racing them with great success, we understood vendor Waikato Stud’s practice where they place minimal reserves on their horses to protect them and then, let the market forces decide their values.
Sometimes that is a hindrance for them, as was seen here where there are not enough people to create competition but they accept the ebbs and flows will sort themselves out in the bigger picture.

So why did we buy this glamourous filly?
All Dynamic Syndications followers know the belief we have in the sire. After all
he won the Cox Plate for our team and since going to stud, has been NZ
Champion Sire year after year.
Knowing with such great detail the breeding crosses that work with Savabeel and more importantly’ those that don’t, each year we look for yearlings by the super sire that are from two specific sires being O’REILLY (13) and PINS (12). Between them these 2 sires have produced 25 of Savabeel’s 97 Stakes Winners which is an amazing strike rate for any stallion.
The other issue to consider is to buy his lighter framed fillies where possible as we have observed the heavy fillies struggle to match the lighter fillies for athleticism, whilst we have observed it’s the opposite for the colts.
This filly was rated highly by our team and
our vet Tim Roberts who gave the filly a glowing report with
low risk x-rays and a Grade 1 scope.
Our newest team member to join Dynamic Syndications in 2020 is the third foal from the mare
BINGO who was a winner at 1200m and 1400m.
BINGO is a
¾-sister sister to Spring – Dam of
Champion 3YO DAFFODIL.
BINGO is a daughter of
Stakes-placed HEADS OR TALES and the family is saturated in bold black type.
However, it’s the genetics rating of
A+++ that is the sensation here, with this fantastic looking and technically correct filly that offers so much to our owners.
There have been
109 yearlings bred on the exact cross producing
82 Winners (75%), 13 Stakes Winners (12%) with a huge
15.9% Stakes Winners : Winners.

With the magnificent weather in NZ at present and plenty of rainfall upon their lush pastures,
WAIKATO STUD has offered to take the filly back to their property before sending her to Australia. The benefit of continuing to agist on the NZ paddocks will significantly benefit the filly’s ongoing growth and development. We accepted their invitation and our latest acquisition will join us in April.
5% SHARES are $10,450 inc GST and ALL COSTS to 31 July 20
