Back To Back Australian BEST TRAINER Premierships For CIARON MAHER RACING

It was two seasons ago at the conclusion of the 2022-23 Racing Season there was a "changing of the guard" when the previous lamplighter was "dethroned" by the highly successful, progressive and ultimately professional CIARON MAHER RACING Team who claimed the honour of Australia’s Best Stable when 58.5 Wins clear.

On Wednesday afternoon as the curtain came down on the 2023-24 season, the CIARON MAHER RACING Team had again cemented their place as Australia’s BEST TRAINING STABLE when winning Back-to-Back Premiership titles.

CIARON MAHER (343) with a Strike Rate of 15.2% W:R finished the 2023-24 season 51 Race Wins ahead of runner-up Chris Waller (292) who had a Strike Rate of 13.3%.

Amazingly, such is the richness of the Racing Industry, both MAHER and WALLER broke through $51million in prizemoney.

In addition to being Australia’s Most Successful Training Operation, CIARON MAHER RACING was also Victoria’s Leading Trainer and Victoria Metro Leading Trainer.

Whilst CIARON MAHER from a much smaller footprint at Warwick Farm compared to his Sydney based peers, was Third leading Trainer in NSW with 116 Winners at 16.0% and Third leading NSW Metro trainer with 62 Wins at 13.2%.

In both the NSW Premiership and Sydney Metro Premiership, by strength of starters WALLER was 1st and GAI and ADRIAN were runner-up.

It was three seasons ago in the 2021-22 Racing Season that trainer CIARON MAHER decided to have a crack at the premiership crown and just missed out.

Waller earned that crown in 2021-22 with 352 Wins just in front of Maher with 321 Wins. To finish only 31 wins behind in the runner-up spot was a feat, when Waller started 2,313 runners for a Strike Rate of 15.2% whilst Ciaron Maher Racing Team started 1,612 for a strike rate of 19.9%. Therefore, that season, Waller had 701 more runners for just 31 more wins.

These results gave the CIARON MAHER team the hunger for the title, and they achieved their goal with incredible success last year in the 2022/23 Racing Season.

They proved it was no fluke by again dominating in 2023-24 season.

Dynamic Syndications were delighted for our Owners who race their horses with the stable, as the CIARON MAHER RACING TEAM trained 24 Wins (37%) including 12 Metro Wins amongst those were a Gr2, Gr3 wins with I AM ME and a Magic Millions Feature Race Win with BAROQUE ROAD amongst our 62 Race Wins in 2023/24.

Together we achieved metro wins with: I AM ME (Randwick and Rosehill), BAROQUE ROAD (Sandown x 2), SONORA (Canterbury), NAVAL COMMISSION (Kensington and Warwick Farm), PIGGYBACK (Randwick), IT’S A KNOCKOUT (Kensington), RED HOT LIZZIE (Canterbury) and HI DUBAI (Randwick).
