Saturday saw
Darley based sire ASTERN –
winner of the Gr1 Golden Rose, produce
two (2) colts that faced the starter with both finishing
runners-up in their respective
Gr3 assignments.
AFT CABIN added valuable black type to his pedigree when he was
runner-up to Jacquinot in the
H.D.F. McNeil Stakes Gr3 at Flemington.
GOLDEN MILE was very impressive at Rosehill when resuming from a spell, finishing
runner-up to Kibou in the Up and Coming Stakes Gr3.
ASTERN is the third crop sire’s premiership “BP – the quiet achiever!”
With the season just one month old in Australia, he is
chugging along very nicely.
