The
Coolmore Australia roster for 2022 has been finalised and will be further strengthened by the addition of
I Am Invincible’s dual Group 1 winning sprinter
HOME AFFAIRS, who is currently in training for a Royal Ascot campaign.
Home Affairs defeats Nature Stripe and Eduardo to win the Gr1 Lightning Stakes
An $875,000 Inglis Easter yearling,
Home Affairs showed immense talent from the outset, winning the
Group 3 ATC Silver Slipper at his second two-year-old start. Then as a three-year-old he firmly established himself as the best sprinting colt in Australia with
successive Group 1 victories down the straight at Flemington.
On Derby Day, he was electric when easily defeating a high-class field by 3-lengths in the 1200m
Group 1 VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes, doing so in a faster time than the likes of
Merchant Navy, Zoustar, Northern Meteor, Brazen Beau and
Exceedance.
In February,
Home Affairs beat world-class sprinters Nature Strip and Eduardo to become the first 3-year-old colt since Fastnet Rock to win the
Group 1 VRC Lightning Stakes (1000m).
“It’s with the utmost excitement that we welcome Home Affairs to Coolmore for the upcoming season. He was identified by the team at the 2020 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale as an absolute ‘must have’ offering. His perfect blend of speed, pedigree and physique have seen him become one of the best stallion prospects to retire to stud in Australia for many years,” commented Coolmore Australia’s Tom Moore.
“I Am Invincible is the most expensive sire in Australia standing at $247,500 and consistently produces outstanding types. Similarly, Home Affairs is a magnificent looking individual; a big, strong, imposing colt with immense quality, very much in the mould of his own sire. It is a sire line that is known for producing good-looking stock and Home Affairs is certain to impress everyone that comes to inspect him at the farm.”
Home Affairs being his
dual Group 1 winning son appears excellent value standing at a fee of
$110,000 this spring.
On the pedigree front,
Home Affairs ticks every box coming from a world-renowned sire producing female family.
“He hails from the great Fanfreluche family, responsible for producing leading stallions such as Encosta De Lago, Flying Spur and the emerging sire Russian Revolution. Coolmore view Home Affairs as a vitally important stallion for the future of the Australian breeding industry and he will be supported accordingly,” Moore concluded.
Home Affairs will stand at a fee of $110,000 inc. GST when he returns to Coolmore Australia after a tilt at the Group 1 Platinum Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.
He will join two other exciting new sire prospects at Coolmore Australia in the shape of
2021 Cartier Horse of the Year, St Mark’s Basilica (by Siyouni) who will stand for $44,000 and joining him will be the brilliantly fast and precocious two-year-old
Acrobat (by Fastnet Rock) who will stand for $13,750.
St Mark's Basilica was the 2021 Cartier Horse of the Year.
Coolmore Australia’s head of nominations Colm Santry said
“We have an exceptionally strong roster that suits everyone’s pocket.”
“It’s fantastic to add three (3) new stallions of the quality of brilliant sprinter Home Affairs, World Champion three-year-old St Mark’s Basilica and the record-breaking two-year-old Acrobat.”
The big mover on the Coolmore Australia roster over the past 2 seasons is none other than
Australia’s current leading sire by Earnings SO YOU THINK ($16,447,186) who this season has produced
125 Individual Winners including 8 stakes winners (3 x Gr1) and 12 Stakes Placegetters.
In 2020 he stood for
$38,500. Then in 2021 off the back of some terrific racetrack results, his fee jumped to
$77,000. As a result of his continuing stardom, and fresh off his Group 1 treble over the Sydney Carnival, his fee increased again from $77,000 in 2021 to now stand at a Service Fee of
$93,500 in 2022. He still represents terrific value at this level compared to many of his peers in the market.

In 2022, Dynamic Syndications purchased 6 of our 18 yearlings by Coolmore Stud sires.
Justify – 3 (ex Tingu) (ex Pickin’ Time) & (ex Savapinski)
American Pharoah – 2 (ex In Times Of War) & (ex War Heroine)
So You Think – 1 (ex Nowheretosomewhere)
Without doubt, two (2) of these yearlings represent the “best value for money” offerings we will be promoting in 2022.
Our colt by SO YOU THINK from NOWHERETOSOMEWHERE is an absolute sensational looking horse and the fact is he is a son of currently the Leading Sire in Australia is a huge benefit. He will be trained by MICK PRICE and MICK KENT Jnr in Melbourne.
5% Shares are simply a steal at only $7,400 inc GST and all costs to 30 June 22.
Our colt by AMERICAN PHAROAH from WAR HEROINE with our “go-to” trainer Jason Deamer at Newcastle is another “belter” that represents dream buying. He is a son of a world champion superstar racehorse and champion first and second season sire in the USA and he is from a LONHRO Mare that was a dual stakes winner.
5% Shares are brilliant value at just $7,560 inc GST and all costs to 30 June 22.
We are delaying until the 1st July 22, the offering of our second yearling by AMERICAN PHAROAH being a filly from the 3-time winning Sydney Saturday class mare IN TIMES OF WAR (by Street Cry). The Second Dam is MILITARY ROSE – a brilliant race filly who won the Magic Millions amongst 6 race wins-5 in succession at 2- and was the Second Top Filly in Australia in 2009-10. Leading breeder and Magic Millions owner GERRY HARVEY bred this filly and when Dynamic Syndications purchased her, Gerry told us that he would like to buy back a leg (25%) because he loved her so much and she had been a clean filly from the time she was foaled. That’s the best endorsement you can have when Uncle Gerry wants to race them with us!
5% Shares are $11,150 inc GST and All Costs to 30 June.
We have already sold out of 2 of the 3 JUSTIFY yearlings we purchased.
Already gone are the colt from SAVAPINSKI (Savabeel) which was $14,200 per share and
our filly from PICKIN’ TIME (Fastnet Rock) which was our most expensive $18,265 per share in 2022.
We have now launched the third of three JUSTIFY yearlings and this filly is bred to “stick like chewing gum to a blanket.” She certainly has the conformation and pedigree to be an Oaks filly being a daughter of the French mare TINGU (FR) (Intello – by Galileo)
Big, strong and correct with clean X-rays and a Grade 1 scope, this is a fantastic filly from the best family Coolmore Stud has developed in Europe. She has been given to Ciaron Maher and David Eustace to polish into a black-type horse and with her wonderful pedigree this will offer the opportunity of excellent residual value when her time comes to visit the breeding barn.
At $13,300 inc GST per 5% Share you don’t buy into fillies like this – you invest!
Stop Press! Thursday 28/4:
