VOLATILE had showed he had the ability with $110,725 already in the tin from 6 race starts, the son of Snitzel from Artemius Rose was still a Maiden and appeared to be crying out for connections to supply him a change of scenery and to be trained in a different manner.
Instead, connections sold him, and new connections swooped, moving him to Mornington in Victoria to be trained by Lyn Tolson & Leonie Proctor.
This was a masterstroke and after a short break and two trials VOLATILE was sent to the sport at Sale on Easter Sunday and as an odds-on favourite, he “got the chockies” for his new owners.

We purchased Lot 169 a colossal colt by champion sire EXCEED AND EXCEL from ARTEMIS ROSE.
We are thrilled with the way our colt has developed since January and the way he has broken-in and finished his education under SHANE ROSE has us all excited.
Our colt is the perfect style of individual to progress to being a 2yo type to aim at the Big 2yo races including the Magic Millions / Golden Slipper.
EXCEED AND EXCEL has been retired from stallion duties after his fertility began to decline due to advancing age. This current crop of yearlings his represents one of the final opportunities to race a horse by the World Champion Sire of 2yo’s.
