Dynamic Syndications recorded our
650th Overall Win and our 53rd Win for the 2019-20 Racing Season as our recent UK purchase
RECONDITE (IRE) made it two wins in a row when claiming a gutsy victory in a desperately close, three-way photo finish in Race 8 at Newcastle on Saturday.

RECONDITE (IRE) a 4yo g by ACCLAMATION (GB) from AQUARIUS STAR (IRE) is trained by RICHARD FREEDMAN at Rosehill and this win recorded the 20th Race WIN Richard has trained for Team Dynamic in the past 18 months.
RICHARD FREEDMAN
RECONDITE (IRE) was purchased by Dynamic Syndications last October in England at the
Tattersalls Horses-In-Training Sale.
He has had 3 race starts in Australia for his Team of Dynamic Owners resulting in an unlucky runner-up cheque on debut, which has been followed by a terrific and courageous
win over 1400m at Kembla Grange on a Heavy 10, where he was in a two horse war the total length of the straight in very testing conditions. That has now been followed by another determined
win at Newcastle over 1500m, again another battle of attrition.
RECONDITE (IRE) carrying 59.0kgs and ridden by Keegan Latham, won Race 8 the
Yarraman Park Class 1 Handicap 1500m defeating What a Girl (Chris Waller) (57.0kgs) by 0.02 length with Silent Agenda (Joe Pride) (55.0kgs) finishing 3rd by 0.06 length, in a slick 1:31.00 just 0.21 outside the class record, coming home in an average 35.75 secs for the last 600m which highlights the early speed in which the race was run and what a wonderful job
RECONDITE did to hang on to win.
RECONDITE (IRE) jumped brilliantly as the gates crashed back but was hampered slightly as he took his first couple of strides which allowed the heavily backed favourite Vienna Rain (Waterhouse & Bott) to spear to the front whilst eventual third placed Silent Agenda got running early from out wider, trying to cross the face of the field. After 50m
RECONDITE was balanced again and with natural speed, placed himself into the race, running up to the girth of the leader with Silent Agenda tacking 3 deep on speed by the time the field had run the first furlong.
At the 1200m mark, the rider of Silent Agenda pushed forward to go to the lead on the fence, allowing Vienna Rain to get a lovely trail on the fence with
RECONDITE settling third, 3 lengths off the leader but facing the breeze.
As they left the 1000m mark, Keegan slipped
RECONDITE a little rein and the horse moved forward a length to sit in second position, placing the favourite in a pocket as the ran past the 900m marker.
As they passed the 800m mark,
RECONDITE was sitting half a length off the leader Silent Agenda with the Waller runner Rules Don’t Apply inexplicably taking off 3 deep, trying to put speed pressure into the race far too early. That tactic proved suicidal as that horse dropped out on straightening to run last, whilst the eventual runner-up, also trained by Waller, was back at the tail of the field waiting for the fast-early tempo to burn out and take its toll on the leaders.
As the field thundered into the straight, Silent Agenda pinched a length break on
RECONDITE whilst Rules Don’t Apply burst like a pricked balloon whilst runner-up What a Girl angled out to be the widest runner, 3 lengths off the leader.
From the 200m it became a genuine war of attrition with horses and jockeys committed to secure the win. Silent Agenda and
RECONDITE were eyeballing each other every stride in the run to the winning post, while What A Girl who had the softest of runs, started to extend stride.
With 50m to run
RECONDITE had gained the advantage over Silent Agenda when What A Girl dived in the shadows of the post as the camera clicked.
In a head bobbing finish, it appeared to the eye that
RECONDITE had prevailed but it was a matter of where the line was, on a track with a deceptive angel.
The semaphore board posted the result.
RECONDITE had prevailed to win by the barest of margins but who ran second was the shock as What A Girl had made it very close getting to within a nostril with Silent Agenda finishing another nostril further back.
It was a courageous win by the horse and rider. Keegan Latham pulled off a magical ride under the big weight and despite the early work and the fast tempo kept
RECONDITE in a rhythm throughout and chose the exact times in the run to improve his position to be capable of making a challenge.
After a Gutsy Win on a bog heap the start before, to get into another war on a Good 4 and to pull off the same gutsy determination speaks highly of the courage
RECONDITE possesses. A lesser horse would have thrown in the towel such was the pressure in both races. Also, its statistically difficult for any horse to break its Maiden and then, WIN its Class 1 at its next start.
What is really keeping us upbeat is the fact that these distances are well short of what we expect
RECONDITE will be better suited. We purchased him to be a 1600m horse capable of getting a bit further. He should have won over 1300m on debut for us, then he won at 1400m and now at 1500m.
He will certainly be a better horse with time as he is doing this at the moment without properly acclimatising. He still has his summer coat in the middle of our winter and he looks immature, so he is at least 6-12 months away from being ready to perform at his peak here in Australia.
We will now be sending
RECONDITE to the spelling paddock for a well deserved holiday and allow him the time to acclimatise to Southern Hemisphere time.
RECONDITE (IRE) in England after purchasing him before coming to Australia
RECONDITE (IRE) is giving his owners instant enjoyment with the promise of further photos on the wall during his racing career. When we purchased
RECONDITE (IRE) he had raced on 6 occasions: He ran 6th at his first two race starts, then twice 4th, followed by two 2nds.
He has added another 2nd and two Wins (Kembla $3.10 favourite and Newcastle $4.20 second favourite) earning $35,315 prizemoney.
His career tally now reads 9 Starts: 2-3-0-2.
